Mere POV :
I walking to the Hub with my father and he stopped and held my arm so tight that it would bruise. "Remember that I own you and you will come back." he said. I nodded and we continued walking to the choosing ceremony. It was Jack King saying the speech this year. We took our seats and I spaced out till I heard my name.
"Meredith Kinley"
I stood up and went down the stairs and stood in front of the bowls. I took the knife and then it was a blur. The next name was said and I was sitting in the sea of black.

We all run out and they are starting to climb the post and I follow them all and I get up really fast and a candor boy next to me said that he was scared of the next part. I nodded but did not aggere I have been waiting to be the ones in black jumping in and out of trains. The train lights can be seen about a half a mile down the track so I started to run with the wave of black. I ran as fast as I could and I ended up being the front. Once i was in the train i was in the second cart thingy. A erudite boy come up to me and introduces me to one of the other people there. His name is Finnick.
"Hey my names Finnick and this is Uriah"
"Mere"
"Well get you ready to jump again" Uriah says while jumping out the train
Me and Fin jump right after him scared we would jump to late. But no we made it on our feet too. YaY
We all walk to the ledge were there was a man and a woman.
" My name is Eric and I am a leader here" My name is Tris i am one of your trainers"
"To get in to dauntless you have to jump" said by Eric with a smirk
I walked up and looked over.
" First one in first one out" scoffed Eric
With that I jumped

I was jumping out of my past into my future and I did not want to go a second.
That was all that ran though my head. A man pulled me off and asked my name.
"mere" in the smallest voice i have ever heard. Why did my voice shrink so much
"First Jumper MERE"
