C H A P T E R 3

Mere POV
We started of to Zekes place and everyone was talking but me. That did not last very long. Tris came up to me and tried to start a conversation with me.

Hey how's it going?- tris

Okay just lost in my thoughts - mere

Well if you need more of a distraction, you can always go to lover boy frank and he will keep you company- tris

I am not really looking for that but thank you- mere

I walk away to see if Zeke has any thing to drink but all I find is beer and vodka... I did not want to look left out but I don't like to drink so I look one of the cups and just put ice and waited for it to melt o drink.

Frank comes over to a bit tipsy and give a few complaints before heading for more drinks. I have a feeling he will regret that in the morning.

It's been about an hour since we came to Zeke's and it's about 12:00.

I start for the door because I want to sit down and don't want to be in this loud music. I leave with no one noticing that I left. I wonder around because I did not know where to go. I end up at the bottom of the chasm, there where a rooks that we kind of far from the water off to the side so I decide to sit there. I close my eyes and listen to the water. I listen to small drops of water when they hit the rocks or skin. When the water splashed against the walls it would hit me a bit and cooled me down. I never go to sleep. I never have since I was 12. Why?? I not really sure, it is supposed to be a state of relax and clarity but no not for me. I just get more and more worried/ paranoid of what could happen. It is like going into place where all of these bubbles of the worst situations can happen and you can't anything about.

I hear something or someone so I sit up and look around till I can identify the sound, it is like dust is hitting dust. I lay back down thinking I am getting paranoid. THEN out of nowhere Eric shows up with a grimace face on. I look up and he says nothing he just looks at my hair. My hair is kind of wavy and wet. I blink a few times to see if I can tell if he is still breathing.
"Go to bed its late" only thing he said before walking away back in to the shadows of the darkness. I got up and tried to get back to the dorms but It kind of  took a while because I was a little lost. I changed in to shorts and shirt and laid down and look to the dark ceiling.
