Okay this is going to be one of my favourites to be honest.
I love headcannons, they can be used for anything(i think). It allows you to think and be imaginative. Thinking: "what if this character was human? What would they look like and how would they react in that position" I love this kind of thinking.
Allowing you to do this with your brain helps so much, gets your creative juices going. (Little suggestive there)
Using others headcannons is fine, maybe try and make your headcannon based on thiers. There is no end to creativity.
