Chapter 4

The ride to the hospital was... I don't know...awkward? Well, I don't know about Charlie and Danny because they were in the front seats while I was alone in the back occasionally switching out a bloody paper towel for a new one. During one of the switches I accidently got blood on the floor but I'm not going to tell Charlie. One drop won't kill him.

Trying to erase the awkwardness in the car, I was the one break the silence.

"So," I started drawing out the o "Danny what brought you to Southern Elite?" All that I said was muffled by the paper towel.

"Well, for starters we moved a pretty long distance from my last gym and I couldn't bare not cheering for a long time I love it too much!" Danny said a answering my question. The only thing that I thought was a little over the top was not Danny's love for her sport but Charlie having the courage to scoff at it. And let me tell you I was baffled.

"Charlie?" I said grabbing his attention.

He looked in the rearview mirror at me and raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"Do you play a sport? You look like you look pretty buff. Unless you do steriods!" I feined worry.

I heard Danny chuckle but before he could reply we reached the hospitals parking lot. Charlie pulled into a spot pretty close to the building and parked the car. I had difficulty getting out the car with one arm busy holding my nose so Danny helped by grabbing the upper part of my arm that was holding the door of the car.

Once out of the car, Danny didn't let go of my arm but looped hers through mine. I had no problem with it because if this girl is going to have to think like me and work with me in a stunt we're gunna have to be BFFS.

Approaching the front desk I became nervous. I was nervous because I play two sports that I cant be taken out of because of injury and this injury was one to be taken out for. Since it was pretty quiet in the lobby right now the woman at the desk noticed us quickly because of the loud sound the door made when we shut it. Once she saw all the bloody towels on my face she got up from her chair and walked toward us. She looked about in her early thirties, she had dark blonde hair that was secured in a ponytail, one neater than Danny and I's making us look really sloppy I must add. As I looked down I saw a name tag that simply said Sharon. Sharon took a glance at me and giggled.

"I'm guessing you're the one needing assistance today?" She asked politely with a small smile on her face.

"That would be wonderful!" I replied just as nice with a pleased smile on my face. She probably couldn't see it due to the mass of paper on my face.

Sharon walked back to her desk and picked up the phone and dialed a number. She stood there for a quick second waiting for whoever she called to pick up.

When they did she sighed and said simply "Yeah, Dr. Maybourne it seems appear that we have a broken nose on our hands and if you're not doing anything it would be awesome if you see her now."

She waited for a reply and when she did she said a thanks into the phone and hung up.

Sharon looked at Danny, Charlie, and I. "Alright ma'am, Dr. Maybourne will see you now. Room 347. Third floor." she offered a polite smile at the end which we all returned.

"Thanks Sharon!" I called over my shoulder as we walked to the elevator. Waiting for one to open, I saw a trash can sitting between the two elevators that were there and threw away my bloody rags. Just as I took my place beside Danny again and linked out arms the left elevator opened and we walked in.

Since nobody was in the elevator I broke the awkward-but-not-so-awkward-silence that was hanging between us three.

"Well, it was nice meeting you guys." I started off saying this because they didn't have to stay with me but then I realized that I needed a ride back to my car and didn't continue.
