Sirius had been woken up by all of his friends, but mostly James, chanting Happy Birthday about seven times. Even though this was probably one of the most annoying mornings he had ever had on his birthday, he didn't care. He just had to look at Remus and he would have a smile on his face. Of course, that had something to do with what had happened last night. What had happened had been special to both of them. They had spent almost the whole night in the woods and they had even been asleep for a few hours, their bodies pressed together and their arms and legs intertwined. Eventually, they had woken up and they had gone back to the castle, where they had continued their sleep.

'We are going to have a great party tonight,' James said, while Sirius got dressed.

'Yeah! We invited a lot of people for the party. We'll just have it in the common-room, but it's going to be awesome. There's going to be food, presents, maybe even a little bit of booze,' Peter added.

'And who is going to get us booze?' Sirius asked laughing, knowing that his little friend would never be able to buy some alcohol. James and Remus however, could possibly do the job. Not that he really cared if there would be alcohol. As long as Remus would be there, he would have the time of his life.

Sirius grabbed one of his shirts and wanted to put it on, but James stopped him. 'What's this?' He asked and he pointed to the necklace that Sirius was still wearing.

He looked down at his own chest, where he saw the necklace and his moon-pendant dangling. He smiled at the sight of it and looked over at Remus. 'It was a present.'

'You two are so cheesy,' James teased them. 'Getting each-other jewelry. Even I didn't give Lily anything like that.'

'That is probably why she will break up with you eventually,' Remus said, which made Sirius burst into laughter.

'Oh, burn!' He yelled at James and he gave his friend a push, so James would fall on his bed. 'Maybe you should be more like Moony, Prongs.'

'Maybe. Would you like me to if I would be more like him?'

'Definitely,' Sirius said grinning and he gave James a wink. After that, the boy got dressed and gathered his stuff. The four of them walked towards the great hall, where they would get their breakfast, like every other morning at Hogwarts.

Sirius sat down next to Remus, who sat next to Peter. James sat down next to Sirius, to that he could save a seat for Lily, or whatever. Something like that. Sirius hadn't paid much attention to what his friend had been telling him when they had walked to the hall. He mostly had stared at Remus. There was just something about him. Something that made him even more amazing than he already had been. Maybe it was because of tonight. Because of what had happened between them. Maybe it was love? Like, the real love. The love where you sleep together, eat together, even live together. The love where saying "I love you" was just a normal part of your day, because you couldn't keep it in.

'Happy Birthday, Sirius,' he heard behind him. He turned around and saw a beautiful, red-haired girl standing in front of him, otherwise known as Lily Evans. She smiled and handed him a package that looked like it would be a book. 'James told me I didn't have to get you anything, but he also told me that you really liked the music that muggles make.'

Sirius looked over at his friend, who was looking proudly at his girlfriend. He then looked back to Lily. 'Thanks, Lily. You really didn't have to do that.'

'It's not a big deal. Just open it, and you have to be honest about what you think about it.'

Sirius nodded and opened the present, which was a book about rock music from last year. Even though it was a book and reading wasn't really his thing, it was a pretty cool gift. Maybe real music could have been better, but he liked it and it was sweet that he had wanted to give him a present, because she really didn't have to.

'It's great. I'll tell you what I think of it when I finish it,' Sirius smiled and he got up, so that he could give the girl a quick hug.

'Which will be never. You can't even read,' said James.

'I can read!' Sirius laughed. He looked over at Lily. 'Your boyfriend is an ass.'

'Your friend is an ass,' she replied and she sat down next to James. She smiled and gave the boy a kiss on his cheek.

Sirius sat down as well. Seeing James and Lily kissing open in public, even if it was just a small kiss, really made him want to do the same with Remus. He knew he couldn't, but still. Maybe that he could just hold his hand for a couple of seconds? Nothing more than that. Just holding hands, like they had did tonight when they had walked back to the castle.

Slowly, Sirius reached for Remus' hand. He smiled when he felt his long, small things between his own and tightened his grip around Remus his hand, while they started on their breakfast.

'Hey!' he head James suddenly yell. Before he even knew what was going on, James had got up and had walked over to another table. The table belongs to the Slytherins and James had walked over to a pale boy, with dark hair that mostly covers his face. The boy was Severus Snape.

'What do you think you are looking at? And why did you laugh?' James asked the boy, already pointing his wand at him. Sirius, Remus, Peter and Lily all got up and walked over to James.

'James, what is going on?' Lily asked and she quickly looked at Severus. 'He didn't do anything?'

'He did! I saw him looking at Sirius and Remus and he was laughing! Do you think it's funny to laugh at something like that?' James asked and he pressed the tip of his wand against Severus' neck. 'Well? Are you going to answer me?'

Sirius felt Remus his hand in his, as of Remus was scared of what was about to happen.

'It's not my fault that they are two stupid homo's. It was about to happen eventually,' Severus finally said. Sirius wanted to walk up to the boy and hit him in the face for what he just had said, but before he could even move, Remus grip tightened around his hands, letting him know that he shouldn't say anything about it. However, nobody stopped James.

'Dare to say that again!' James yelled and he threw his wand away, ready to just jump onto the boy. 'That you're too pathetic to get a girlfriend, is your own fault. You have no right to say something like that about them, or about anyone else!'

'James, stop it!' Lily yelled and she finally pulled him back, before he could actually hit James. 'What do you think you're doing?'

'He made fun of my friends,' James said and he glanced an angry look at Severus, who was still sitting on the bench.

'So it's true, then? Sirius and Remus are really in a relationship?' someone else suddenly asked and Sirius felt that all eyes were suddenly on him. Well, on him and Remus.

He wasn't sure how to answer the question. He and Remus had agreed that they would keep it a secret and they had succeeded in that, for about a month. However, it wasn't time to share their secret. Not yet. But now... It felt like they didn't even had a choice.

'No answer is still an answer,' somebody said and suddenly, the whole Slytherin table started yelling things. They called them disgusting, they called them terrible people and a shame. Sirius heard the words loud and clear, but they didn't seem to reach him. Because all he could look at, all he could think of, were the fingers from Remus, that had suddenly left his. And Remus, grabbing his stuff and walking away from every other student and, most importantly: him.
