2 Months Later

Sammie ( P.O.V )

A lot has changed in these last two months, Joshua is doing just fine, he's back to his normal self . The day he got shot, he was coming out of the house to call me but his mom boyfriend had a shoot out with some guys and it just so happen that Joshua had got hit by the bullet. The sad part about it is that his momma didn't even show up to the hospital .

She later was found guilty on child abuse and drug use causing her to get 5 years in prison, and 3 months of rehab.

Joshua is legally my son now , so he don't have to ever worry about going back to that hell hole .

Adrianna and me, we're closer than ever now . We sat down and had a talk about everything, we decided to communicate more and tell each other things more .I know when I have a good woman, and she's a keeper .

My mixtape is set to release in 2 weeks from now . All the songs that is on that mix tape is about my real life problems, from sex to love to hate to party . Anything that people go through .

Since i'm not busy today, I'm gonna spend the day shooting hoop with Joshua in the backyard . Lil man got skills but he ain't better than me .

Adrianna had to go to work earlier, but before she left I asked her to give me a hair cut . She really hooked ya boy up .

" You ain't ready for this boy " I said talking smack to Joshua while dribbling the ball .

" Man you whack " he said stealing the ball from me and laughing .

The only thing he good at is stealing the ball, cause he ain't tall enough to reach the goal yet . We been playing this game for a while now, it's 20 to 14 . Of course i'm in the lead .

I got out of breath so I sat down on the court .

" Don't try to stop now loser " he said sticking his tongue out trying to dunk the ball .

We went inside and got a Gatorade from out of the refrigerator, I loved the blue kind and Josh loved the red .

We went to the theater room and started watching a action movie .

" Dad, can you pass me the popcorn ? " he asked .

He had me in shock when he said that . Dad ? It's just weird hearing that knowing that someone is calling me their dad .

" Sure lil man " I said passing him the popcorn smiling while rubbing his head .

Marquis ( P.O.V )

One more month to go until my lil man gets here . I just know he's gonna take my looks the most . You know good genes run in my fam .

Since Arielle is officially off of bed arrest, I'm gonna take her out somewhere special .

I put on my Alexander McQueen suit to match my Alexander McQueen high top sneakers , a Rolex watch, I made sure I was looking fresh well in this case a true gentleman.

My baby walked to the stairs looking flawless, my mouth dropped open when I seen her standing at the top of the staircase. She was wearing a blue Givenchy dress with blue high heels that was covered with lace, the necklace I got for her, and a small Rolex for women. Her her was curled nicely.

" Wow baby, you look nice " I said kissing her cheek when she reached downstairs.

" Thanks " she said blushing.
