A creepy freak?

Chapter 4

"Come on guys. We can do it." Shane and the others are in the middle of a very big fight. At the beach is a human sized fly which attacked the people. Tori gets out some of her throwing stars and throws them at the beast. Somehow it doges all and attacks the ninjas. "Look out." But Shanes warning is to late and so the beast nearly knocks out Blake and Hunter. "We need to retreat." Shane runs to the two fallen ninjas and helps them up. Everyone turn around and run away till they hear an ear piercing scream. As fast as lighting Shane spins around and sees how Dustin holds his stomach and fells to the ground. Shanes eyes went wide but soon went into anger. Shane and the others are ready to attack but the monster disappears into the air. First they look a bit irratated but the painful moan got them back and they run to Dustin who clings onto his stomach. "He is losing to much blood. We need to get him to the hospital immediately." Tori is visible terrified from the sight of her friend dying. Blake and Hunter are shocked and paralized. Only Shane can react and calls the ambulance. While they were waiting for the ambulance to arrive Dustin woke up and tried not to loose his consciousness again. But as soon as the sirens could be hearn Dustins vision start to blur again and the voices fade away until he doesn't hear anything anymore and his vision goes pitch black.

Shane wakes up to someone shaking him. He sits up immediately and looks around till his eyes land on his mother who apperantly was shaking him. "Aw, mum. Why are you waking me up?" "You were trashing around." Shane groans because for him it is a ridiculous reason to wake him up. "And you have a guest." He looks at her with a confused look but Gabrielle just gives him a smile and walks out of his room.

Shane stands up and changes into some shorts and a shirt and goes downstairs where his mother and a mysterious girl are in the middle of a talk. "Are you sure you don't want something to drink or eat?" The girl smiles at her. "No, thank you. I'm fine." Then her eyes land on Shane and her smile fades. Gabrielle turns around and gives her son a little smile.

"Ah, there you are. We just talked about you. Come on. This girl here ... i am sorry. What was your name again?" The girl smiles at her as if to say 'no problem'. "It's okay. My name is Fria." "Ah, right. My bad. Fria came here and wants to speak with you." She turns back to Fria, smiles at her and goes into the kitchen.

Shane looks suspect at Fria. "You are the girl who Dustin ..." Fria stops him mid sentence. "Yeah. I know. I also know that Dustin is in hospital but the stupid secretary doesn't let me to him. I just want to know how he is." She looks at Shane with a shine of hope in her eyes.

Shane looks at her and sighs. "He is stable but he needed surgery right away. He got two broken ribs, a brokwn arm and a dislocated shoulder. Also his ankle is sprained and his leg is broken." After that Shane looks at Fria again and she has a look of pure shock.

"Wow. He can be grateful to be still alive." Shane only nods. There are no words because it is still very shocking for him too. "You know. I still can't believe that it was just an accident. I mean accidents happen no doubt but that is to extreme."

Shanes head snaps back up and he looks with wide eyes at Fria. "What? Did I say something wrong?" Shane shakes his head. "No. What you said was completely right. We saw some accidents happen at the track. Even Dustin had some but never was it like this."

Shane walks  upstairs to his room again and Fria follows him. "So, what you are saying is that..." "that Dustin didn't had an accident. It was sabotage." Fria nods lost in thoughts. "But who could do something like that? That was really risky. I mean Dustin could have died."

Shane stops in his tracks.  While they were talking he decided that they need to tell the others but the sentence from Fria makes him think. What would happen if Dustin actually died?

Shane shakes his head. He can't even think about that. "We need to tell the others. They can help us to figure it out." Fria looks at him confused. "The others?"

"Yeah. The others. You know at Storm Chargers?" Fria gives a silent 'ah' but stays silent.

Shane packs a little backpack and then the two of them walk to Storm Chargers where they will meet up with Tori, Blake and Hunter.
 
 
 
"So you all are friends?" Shane raise an eyebrow to that. They walked awkwardly in silence till Fria decided to break it. "What do you mean?" Shane is a bit irratated by that question. What does she want?

"I mean when Dustin got hurt you guys acted like a family not just friends. So I was just wondering. I mean you could be releated." Shane looks at Fria  confused at what she means but still answers her.

"No, we are not releated. Only Hunter and Blake are brothers but just adopted." "Oh okay. I could tell that they are brothers but I thought real brothers not adopted. Still you guys act like a real family and I think it is good to have such a family." Fria gives Shane a small smile. "Especially for Dustin. It will help him to know that you are there for him."

Shane is a bit shocked by that answer but also happy. "Yeah, we will be there for him definitely." By now the two of them reach Storm Chargers where they find the others sitting on the couch and watching TV.

Tori is the first to see Shane. "Hey Shane. Come here you need to see this." Curious Shane walks over to them to see that they are watching a TV report about the accident. Shane groans annoyed.

"Every channel is talking about it now. And everyone says something different",  Blake says. His eyes glued to the TV. Shane grabs the remote and turns the TV off. "Now tell. How is Dustin?" Tori asks in a concerned voices. Shane sighs. "He is good. At least I hope so. I couldn't see him yesterday because it was too late but he got a lot of injuries."

"Let me guess" Hunter shims in. "Broken leg and or sprained ankle, broken ribs and sprained arm." Hunter gets strange looks from his friends besides Blake. "What?" "How do you know so much about these kind of injuries?" Hunter shrugs. "We watched a lot of races so we know some injuries that can come up."

Shane nods. "You nearly got everything. Two right ribs broken, internal bleeding, right arm broken, dislocated shoulder, left ankle sprained and leg broken."

Shane gets starred at with wide eyes. "Are you kidding?" "Sadly not."
