Cressida P.O.V

I found Katniss crying in her room with Primrose trying to calm her down. I motioned for Prim to come towards me.

"Hey Primrose, do you mind if I speak to your sister privately for a minute?"

"Of course not Cressida, I hope you can calm her down. Also just call me Prim." And with that she walked out of the room.

I walked over to Katniss and pulled her into an embrace and she laid her forehead on my shoulder.

"Ssshh, Ssshh. Katniss everything's okay. Please don't cry."

"Nothings going to be okay. My friends going to get killed and it's all my fault!"

"No Katniss, it's not your fault. It's Coins fault for not getting him out when she had the chance." I said, kissing her hair lightly.

After a while Katniss finally calmed down.

"Umm. Katniss, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yeah, sure why?"

"I just wanted to let you know that I. I. I. Think I'm in love with you. You can hate me all you want but, I just thought you should know." I said quietly to her.

"Cressida I don't hate you. I think I'm in love with you too. I was just scared to tell you, because it's usually frowned upon in the districts." Katniss said with a small smile, shocking me.

I took her face in between my hands and kissed her passionately on the lips, she kissed back almost immediately, wrapping her hands around my neck. I reluctantly pulled away, but just so our foreheads where touching.

"Katniss, I love you with all my heart and would never hurt you. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course I will Cressida." She said, pulling me in for another kiss.

We didn't stop our make out session until we heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it." I said to Katniss, giving her a peck on the cheek.

When I opened the door I was surprised to see Haymitch.

"Umm. Hi Haymitch what do you want?"

"I came to tell Katniss that they're sending a rescue team to save Peeta. What are you doing here?" Haymitch asked.

"I was making sure Katniss was alright. I'll tell her about Peeta." I said to Haymitch. And with that I walked back into Katniss' room. To find Katniss lay on the bed.

"What did Haymitch want?" Katniss asked with a small smile. I lay down next to her and returned a smile, whilst wrapping my arm around her waist and kissing her forehead.

"He wanted to let you know that they're going to rescue Peeta." I said, nervously, knowing that when Peeta got to 13 everything could change.

"Oh, I'm going to go to the control room and see if there's anything I can do to help. Do you mind?" She said shyly, sensing how nervous I was.

I just smiled and said "Course you can, but can you promise me something?" I asked.

"Sure" She said, standing from the bed.

I got up aswell and took her hands in mine and sighed.

"Promise me you won't let Peeta come between us? I love you more than you realise."

"I'll never let him come between us. I was only acting in the games." She said, putting her hands around my neck and giving me a peck. "I'll meet you in your room in no more than two hours, ok?"

"Ok babe." I said giving her a soft kiss on the lips. "Now go." I let her go, and walked out the door with her, giving her a last goodbye. Then I head back to the room I shared with the crew.
