Hell had nicer drapes

Many sins she could not atone
A sinister evil followed
Sending shivers deep into her bones
The house she knew;
Empty and hollow...

She tore the curtains
Hung them high
Prepared the noose
So she'd no longer lie

A swinging body
A broken mind
Nothing would be better
Than breaking her mortal bind

A place of fire and despair
Punishment; full and fair
A place with high, deadly stakes
But, she always imagined that hell had nicer drapes.
