I woke to the intense pain in my arm and head. I slightly opened my eyes only to realize i was in the dirt, a strange man standing above me. I struggled to say something, but he must've heard me. He suddenly crouched beside me. "I am so sorry, but you only have minutes before you bleed out completely. I could save you, in a sense. But you have to be sure you want this because there is no going back." The strange man's eyes were clouded with worry. Did I even have a choice? It can't be worse than dying, "Well sometimes it certainly is." He interrupted. I nodded my head yes and the next thing he did was unpredictable. He held my head up gently and bit into my neck. I was too shocked to scream. The pain coursed through my nerves and it seemed like hours before it stopped. Once he finally did, I almost immediately passed out, but he ripped his arm open and put it to my mouth. First I was absolutely disgusted, but then the blood filled my mouth. The blood tasted like chocolate and candy and everything sweet. I gripped his arm and he held me up with his free hand. Suddenly, an explosion of pain erupted from my heart. I let out a blood curdling scream and everything faded to black. The next thing I know I'm back driving my car except I notice the man before I pick up the phone call. This man was different than the one who helped me and he was just standing there, as if waiting to be hit. Now instead of running over the man he launches towards the windshield and I lurch from my bed. I sit there panting, only to realize it was not my bed at all. I frantically look around, noticing it wasn't anything I've seen before. It was a medium sized room with a queen sized bed, desk, mirror, dresser, person-sized window, and an occupied chair. The person, or man, sitting in the chair was looking at me almost lost in thought. I eventually came to realize it was the strange man who had saved my life. "Hello?" I ask, wondering if he heard me. He was almost startled when I spoke, but calmed down and smiled warmly towards me. "Hello, I am Arthur. May I ask, What is your name?" He asked tentatively. "I'm Brea. Where am I?" I asked, almost scared of the answer. "You are in my home. I need to ask you a few questions." He said warily. "What is the last thing you remember?" He asked. "Well I remember almost running over a guy, then he walked over and ripped my door off its hinges, kind of like the Hulk." I said. He chuckled. I continued, "Then he attacked me, I think. Then I sort of zoned out until you said you were going to save me. and then..." I stopped. "Wait, did you, uh, drink my, erhhh..." I tried to say. "Blood" A girl in the doorway said. "He drank your blood and then he gave you his and now you're a..." she said but couldn't finish because of a killer glare Arthur was giving her. She backed off. He turned back to me, "Please continue, Brea." I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts, " Yes, I remember you drinking my blood and then, i think i drank yours. After that i kind of remember something like a heart attack and i just woke up from a nightmare." I finished, waiting for some answers. Arthur stood up to come and sit by me. He sighed and began, "Well all of that is correct. Except, in a way, I didn't save your life. I ended it to save it. What my dear Elizabeth was trying to say was that I turned you." He said, Looking over almost scared of what my reaction would be. "Turned me into what?" I asked. "A Vampire."
Short chapter, I know. I will have more within the next few days. Definitely more longer chapters as well.
