Saving Percy {Percy Jackson Fanfiction}

Chapter 1

Annabeth's POV

I instantly know something is wrong, the second Percy walks away from me and towards the bathroom. I turn and watch him and as soon as he walks into the bathroom and the door shuts behind him the feeling increases rapidly.

After hesitating for a few seconds about weather i should go in there and check on him but I really don't want to go into a public mans restroom.

The bathroom door opens quickly then is pulled shut. The feeling increases with every second, something bad is going to happen.

I grab my cap of invisibility which just recently started working again and put it on. Then I sprint over to the door and force the door open. I see a light in the center of the room that fades very quickly and I jump at it only to fall face first onto the floor in the now dimly lit bathroom.

I get up and walk out if the boys restroom then into the girls. I take my hat off and look at myself in the mirror, my eyes hold stress, lack of sleep, and sorrow. I can't believe Percy is gone, I have to get him back, I have to.

I walk out of the bathroom and back to the table I grab my purse, yeah I know what your think but I wanted to look nice for our re-re-re-first date. I sling it over my shoulder and walk out into the cool New York air.

I dig through my purse and pull out a wad of mortal money and call over a taxi.

I give the taxi driver the cash and and he drives to Camp Half-Blood. It's less than a week until summer is officially here, then Percy and I were going to head to camp for the summer, the first summer without a problem, I had spent months thinking about how wonderful that would be. I guess it won't happen.

I lean back and think about all the adventures Percy and I have had together when the taxi comes to a halt.

I blink and notice were parked next to Half-Blood hill. I grab my purse and start to step out when I hear the taxi driver ask "are you sure miss?"

"Yeah it'll be ok my aunt lives a few blocks from here and she doesn't want me giving out her address. She's really careful, she was kidnaped as a child" I lie to explain why I took a taxi to the middle of nowhere.

"Ok, I am sorry about that, well I better go" he responds, checking his iPhone.

I wave and the taxi speeds away. Once it's out of sight I run up the hill, past thalias pine tree and to the big house.

I quickly open the door to the big house and see Chiron and the one stroll brothers talking.

They both turn as they see me out of the corner of their eyes. "Percy's been kidnaped!" I yell at them in worry.

They both just stare in shock at me. Maybe it's what I just said, or maybe it's the fact that I'm wearing tight clothes and make-up, maybe it's both. But they just stare for about a 30 second period that drags on.

Chiron snaps out of it quickly. "Explain to me what happens" he mellowly demands.

"I was on a date with him-" their eyes seem to comprehend why I'm wearing what I'm wearing as I say that. I stop speaking for a second then continue. "And he went to use the bathroom, he took a long time and after a while I went in there and I saw a bright light in the middle of the room and it reminded me of a portal. And that's when it clicked" I say in one big breath. "He's been kidnaped!" I repeat louder than last time.

Chiron responds quickly after I yell "it seems like you have to go on a quest to save him, are you up to it?"

"Yes!" I yell and turn to walk towards the door when Connor grabs my shoulder and turns me around.

"Aren't you going to speak to the orchidale Annabeth?" Chiron asks calmly, while is bounce on the balls of ankles waiting for the moment I can set out and save percy.

I shake my head.

"Aren't you going to take two people with you?"

I shake my head once again.

Chiron sighs "I'd feel a lot better if you took someone, please Annabeth!"

"Fine Ill take one person" I say.

"Who will you take?" Connor asks.

"Uhh..." I think for a minute Thalia? Piper? Nico? Leo? "I dont know" I admit.

"How about Thalia? she was going to leave the hunters here and meet you here so you and her could catch up" Chiron asks.

"Yeah I'll bring her!" I say, honestly I can't wait, time with just Thalia, I haven't had that in so long. And I could save Percy! It's like hitting two birds with one stone!

"You and Thalia can leave anytime you please" Chiron says and goes back to talking to Connor.

I walk out of the big house and head towards the forest and sit on Zeus's fist, a rock in the part of the forest where we play capture the flag.

Suddenly Thalia and a group of around 10 girls run through the bushes, followed by a few white wolves.

It's the hunters of Artermis. Thalia sees me and motions for the girls to go to the Artermis cabin. Thalia plops down next to me and hugs me like there's no tomorrow.

"Why do you look so sad?" Thalia asks. "Did Percy hurt you because if so I will-"

I cut her off "Percy didnt do anything"

She looks confused and slightly annoyed she doesn't know.

"Percy got kidnaped" I reply.
