"Hi, Annabeth," Charlie's voice resonates through my Bluetooth. Its five PM here and six PM there, He just got out of Baseball practice. "I've got the channel you gave me on TV now. It's a boring show about a guitar."

"That's the channel I'm performing on. In a half hour, you didn't have to turn it on now. I don't go on until five thirty central time. That's six thirty your time. That show won't be on for another half hour." I laugh, "I miss you so much Char, it's so quiet in the hotel room and there's no one to get hot coco with. It's my last night in New York I'm performing Broadway!"

"That's great Annabeth." Charlie says.

"Hey, how were the work outs?"

"Long, I miss Coach Andrews and the team." His voice gives away his real disappointment.

"It'll all get better." I promise him. "Just don't give up yet. There are only three more performances before Sheldonridge. One in LA, and then Oklahoma, then we're back in Texas. And you and I will go visit our high school." I hear three beeps on stage, "I have to go warm up, and I'll talk to you after?"

"You better." Charlie teases, "You'll be great."

"Bye Char."

"Bye Annabeth."

I practice the set and meet a few celebrities and listen to them talk about themselves before I excuse myself to go practice some more. Before I know it, they're introducing me and I'm ready to perform.

"Hello everyone!" I call out to the Broadway audience. "Who's ready to rock out to some music?" I receive yells and screams in response. "Well this is a song I wrote on my way to DC, with my best friend Charlie. It's called My Brighter Flame."

Be my brighter flame,

Be my sunshine days

Live without regrets,

Live without a fear

Stay alive for one more day

Stay alive for our tomorrow

Be my brighter flame,

Be my sunshine days

I continue to sing letting the music just flow out of my voice, and before I know it, it's over. The crowd cheers and I sing one last song before my Broadway performance is over and I'm back at my hotel talking on our face chat site, "Hey Charlie!" we've both have our after performance drinks as we talk on the face chat site.

"Annabeth, you, as usual, were spectacular." Charlie raises his mug, "You filled the apartment with music like only you could." I hear other voices.

"Hey, who are you hanging out with?"

"I brought the Baseball team over to see the number one singer performing tonight." He explains, "Don't worry; I'm making sure they stay out of your things."

"Can I meet some of them?" I ask he nods and calls out to the others.

"Annabeth meet the Avalon Angels." Charlie says,

"Wait, the school mascot is an Angel?" I ask as eight boys join him on the screen.

"Guys, this is my girlfriend Annabeth Kennedy." Charlie introduces, "The number one best singer in the whole world."

"Hey guys" I wave and the team wave back,

"Okay this is the pitcher Kaleb, the third baseman David, the shortstop Steven, the first basemen Carl, the second baseman Ed, center fielder Tyler, right fielder Chandler, and the left fielder Gregory." He points out each player as he goes and I try to commit each one to memory. As my phone goes off.

I look over to see it and when I don't recognize the number I let it go to voicemail. "So, what do you guys think about the music? I know Charlie's a little bias but you boys what's your honest opinion?"

"You're an amazing singer." Chandler replies

"And song writer" David puts in.

"Who was that song about?" Charlie asks.

My phone goes off again, this time it's Kaitlin. "Char, it's Kaitlin, I have to go. Can I call you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, I'll talk to you then." Charlie says raising his hot chocolate, "Knock 'em dead."

"Good-bye Charlie." I sign out of the chat site and pick up my phone. "Kaitlin, what's up?" I listen to her speaking about my tour in LA is going to be in a bigger theatre. Man, I wish I could talk to Charlie. "So is the performance still on?" she confirms that it is still on, but that because the location is changing they are changing the date of the performance. "So when is it?"

"At the end of your tour. After your Sheldonridge performance." Kaitlin answers.

"But we planned this tour so that I could be in school when it starts," I exclaim "if I go to LA after Sheldonridge, then I'd be three days late to school because it's a long drive back and the time differences."

"I've got plane tickets for you to use to get from LA to Nashville." Kaitlin says.

"I don't have a choice do I? Well if I get back in time for school fine. If not, I'm going to be in hot water with Charlie. Okay, we'll what time to I have to be ready for tomorrow?"

"Five we've got to get to Oklahoma early, you've got a noon performance for the governor's family, and then you're performing at the outdoor amphitheatre for the good citizens that bought out your performance. You have a 10 o'clock morning interview on the way down to the Governor's estate."

"Okay, just have Sambring the car up to the portico and I'll bring my things down, it's only onesuitcase and a carryon, so it's all good. My guitar isn't going to be a problemto carry."
