Chapter 4: Anything can happen...

"Really? That's great, honey, I am really proud of you" she says, I cross my arms over my chest "Of course I miss you, pumpkin" she says, I make an angry face "I'll be home soon, I love you" she says, I release a heavy sigh, how can she say "I love you" to someone and fucking someone else? This woman truly has some nerve "I'll see you soon, bye" she says and hangs up "Stop acting like a 5 year old" she says and I look at her "What is that supposed to mean?" I ask "If you knew who I was talking to, you wouldn't be so jealous" she says, I buff "Jealous? Who said I am jealous?" I ask and she laugh "Dante, every single time I pick up the phone you cross your arms, make an angry face, and let me know with a sigh that you are not pleased with my phone call, just like a five year old would" she explains, I sigh, I have to give it to her that, I am jealous, and when I am jealous I act like a 5 year old, but still I am in all my right to be jealous, she is saying the "L" word to someone else that's not me **LAUGHS** I look at Ciara "What is so funny?" I ask "You" she answers "What?" I ask "Your jealousy is so unfounded" she simply says and I frown "Dante, I told you, I do not do double timing" she says "Then who is Enzo?" I ask, she sighs "I can't tell you that" she answers "Then how you expect me to not think the worst?" I ask "I promise, I'll tell who Enzo is, when the time is right" she answer and I sigh "When that will happen?" I ask "Soon" she simply says.

Enzo, Enzo, ENZO! We have been together for 2 weeks, we have been sleeping together for 2 weeks, and not for a single second, minute, hour, and day Enzo has disappeared, he has been always present, which annoys me, because we've been having a great time together for the last 2 weeks, just like the old times, when we were happy, but every single time Enzo calls, I remember why I brought Ciara back to my life, and I get hurt, again.

Thanks to this Enzo, I have considered many times to end my relationship with Ciara many times, this Enzo guy makes me feel used, makes me feel like Ciara is faking everything just to get rid of me, and it hurts, it is not supposed to be this way.

"You are going home in a few minutes" I say, she looks at me "I have to travel back to my hometown for a few weeks, there is no use for you to stay in Milan all by yourself, so you are going home" I explain "Did something happened?" she asks "Is nothing you should worry about" I answer "Okay" she says "The fact that I am not around doesn't mean that you can do as you please, I'll be watching you" I say "What is that supposed to mean?" she asks "Nothing special, just that if you miss behave, I'll sell your company piece by piece" I answer and she looks at me, she opens her mouth to protest and then closes it, she thinks for a few seconds "Got it" she says an goes back to her tea.

CIARA'S POINT OF VIEW

After Dante allowed for a stranger to get too close to me, more than I would enjoy, I was a hundred percent things were going to go downhill, because I was not going to allow for that man or any other person to do something like that to me again, to treat me like an object again, even if that meant the complete destruction of the business and placing my family through a hell.

It took me by surprise, when Dante apologized, it took me by surprise. He seemed so determined to get revenge, to make me pay for whatever he feels I did to him, that the last thing I expected him to do was apologize for his actions and his behavior. 

The talk with Lucy, Dante's friend, it was refreshing. It made realize that the situation, it wasn't as insignificant as I thought it was, the simple fact I was worrying about something else, did not meant that I was not affected by what happened. Talking to her helped me see that, it help me to deal with my thoughts, with my emotions, and I feel it has placed me in a better mental state, I have an appointment with next month. Obviously, Dante worried, but now it is not about what happened that night, it is more with what is going on with my life. Mental health is important, all it took was a simple conversation with Lucy to realize I am need to be in better mental state, a healthy one. Surprisingly, Dante understood, and encouraged me to continue to see Lucy as much as I see it necessary.
