Chapter 1: The Day My Life Changed

Hey Guys! This is Mysterious Anime Girl! But, I'll be going by Mystery. Anyways, this is going to be my first story, so don't criticize too much. I would love it if you could leave me comments and tell me how I'm doing! Anyways, ON WITH THE STORY!!!!

It was a cold Friday night, and I was already at my victim's house, getting ready to rob the poor sucker inside. I out a strand of my long ash brown hair behind my ear, even though my hair was already in a pony tail. I was dressed in a black long-sleeved shirt, a pair of black gloves, black leggings, and my black Avia shoes that had white soles and a bit of green on them. I was waiting around for my lookout, Bill. He was suppose to meet with me thirty minutes ago. I heard footsteps behind me.

"Finally!" I exclaimed. "What took you so long?"

I turn around to see a tall man with white hair, a open jacket with no shirt underneath and showing his abs, navy blue pants held by a white belt, and calf high brown boots. The man also had two cigars in his mouth, which I don't know how he could do that. I felt the blood drain down my face when I saw him.

"Who are you?" I asked. "And where's my partner?"

"Who I am isn't important," he said, "and your partner isn't coming."

"Like hell he is!" I exclaimed angrily. "He made me wait in the damn cold for half an hour! Do you know how cold it is out here?!?!"

"Then why are you out here?" the man asked.

I hesitate. If he knew why I was here, then I would probably get arrested again. And even though I only got caught once, I'm not sure they would let me off the hook again.

"I have my reasons," I said. 

He just smiled. I had a pretty good suspicion that he knew what I was doing. 

"If you don't give up right now," he said, "I'll hunt you down until I capture you."

I thought about it for a second and said, "I'll take my chances."

I turn around and start running like hell towards the woods. All of a sudden, something grabbed me around my waist and dragged me all the way to the man. I tried to escape, but I couldn't get out of it. Suddenly, the man wrapped his arms around me. I kicked and screamed, hoping that he would let me go. No such luck. He held on tight enough that I thought he was going to crush me. After a few minutes, I stop struggling.

"So you're finally giving up," he said.

"No," I replied, "I was just too tired."

"You're coming with me," he said.

"Where?" I asked. "To the hospital? Because I think you crushed my ribs."

"No," he replied. "I'm taking you to the police station."

{The Next Day}

"Dawn Jackson," the judge said, "you're being tried for attempted home invasion, resisting arrest, car theft, and destruction of property. How do you plea?"

"Um," I said, "obviously not guilty."

"Ms. Jackson," he started, "we have a witness stating that you have committed all these crimes."

I look over at the audience behind me, found Bill, and glared at him. The short, dark-skinned kid cringed at my glare. I can't believe he snitched on me! He better hope that I don't get my hands on him. I was about to turn back around when I saw my family there. I look at them in shock. I kind of thought that my mom would be here, but I never thought that they would bring my two younger siblings with them. I saw Kyle and Kim make faces at me while Mom and Dad just had a grim look.
