Fox's POV (talk about unexpected :3)
We finally got to the infirmary, and I laid Dawn down on a bed as quickly but gently as I can. Chopper quickly went over to Dawn and took off the ridiculous layers of clothing. He stopped when he say her scars. When I saw them, I resisted the urge to throw up. They were all a deep shade of red. The worst one was on her left shoulder. It looked like a shark had bite her, but it couldn't bite through. There was a faint line across her stomach and I could see black thread on her right side.
"She didn't have this many scars," Chopper whispered horrified.
"How did she hide this many scars?" Ace asked.
"That's my fault," Greg said bitterly. "I taught her that she could do hallucinations to confuse her enemies. But I never thought once that she would use it on herself."
"Hey, neither of us would think that she would do this," Jake said. "Stop beating yourself up about it."
"Take your own advice, wolf boy," Greg said. "I know what you're thinking. If you never taught her the moves, she would be better off with a better life."
"I don't think that's true," I said.
I could feel everyone looking at me as I kept my eyes on Dawn. I knew what I was doing was in a sense suicide. But with the way Dawn is now, I honestly don't care.
"She was drowning in grief for three weeks," I said. "She probably wouldn't be her right now if you guys haven't taught her."
"What do you mean be 'wouldn't be here'?" Robin asked. "Do you mean in this state, or dead?"
"Of course I mean dead," I snapped.
"That's no way to speak to a lady," Sanji stated.
"Like I care!" I shouted. "If I had been there for her, none of this would happen!"
I sat down at the chair next to her bed and put my head in my hands. I knew it probably gave away who I was to the gang. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulders, and I looked to see Chippy, who was still being supported by Boss.
"It's not your fault," he said. "She doesn't really like letting people in because she's afraid that they'll end up getting hurt."
Chopper looked at Chippy and started freaking out again. He quickly got Chippy in hospital gown, got him into the bed next to me, and tended to his leg. Once that was all done, the girls told everyone except Chopper and Chippy to get out. I stayed where I was, refusing to move from my seat.
"You too," Nami said. "Out."
"No, I'm not leaving her side," I said.
"Don't care," Nami said.
"I'm not leaving," I said firmly.
"Look, I know you two had an emotional bond, but I think the last thing Dawn wants is you to see her naked," Nami said.
"You could blindfold me," I suggested.
Nami was about to say something when Robin said, "I got this."
She crossed her arms, and then a pair of hands covered where I would see through my mask. I heard Nami just sigh in annoyance. I heard Chopper explain things, but I was too out of it to hear what he's saying. Then, the hands went away. I looked around and discovered that Chopper left and Chippy was asleep. Then, I saw Dawn in a purple with pink dots hospital gown and bandages on her hands. I tried not to laugh, but failed.
"What's so funny?" Nami asked.
"Nothing really," I replied. "It's just that Dawn is going to hate whoever picked her gown."
