Chapter 12: One, Two, He's coming for you

Dawn's POV

After the whole fiasco with Smokey-Bear, we stopped running and walked back the dorm building we were all in. I expected it to be quiet, but that didn't happen. A crash came from what looked like my window and we all saw someone fall out of it. I sighed. That guy might have some broken bones if he's not skilled enough. I walked closer to the building.

"Ace, stop throwing people out of the window!" I yelled. "We just fixed it two weeks ago!"

I saw Ace from the broken window and yell back, "He started it! He kept on saying that he knows you, when I clearly think he's delusional!"

I sighed and walked towards the guy laying on the ground. When I got into viewing distance of him, I froze. Why was he here? Out of the people that needed to be here, he was the last one that needed to be here.

"Dawn, what's wrong?" I heard Ace ask.

Before I can answer, the guy tched. I'm pretty sure that at this point terror was written all over my face.

"That hurt, you know?" he said. Then, he stood up with his back towards me. The guy had short, spiked blonde hair and was wearing a leather jacket with matching leather pants. You can tell he's been in the sun a lot because he had too dark of a tan. When he turned around, he was wearing a white mask that made him look like a mannequin. Ironically, he goes by Doll 

My breathing started to speed up. I involuntarily took a step back. Ace say this and jumped from the window, landing right behind him.

"I don't know who you are," Ace started, "but if you so much lay a hand on her, I will destroy you. Got it?"

Doll just laughed. I looked at Ace and quickly shook my head. Ace gave me a look that told me that he meant what he said.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in a tense voice.

"I'm here to break you out," he said cheerfully.

I licked my lips and said, "I already told your boss that I quit doing my job."

He palmed his forehead and said, "Oh yeah! I forgot! You told him that not only you joined a gang, but so did the Wolf."

I felt a sudden chill go down my spine. I knew he was glaring at me.

"You have NO idea who you pissed off," he said quietly.

He took a couple steps forward. I took steps back until I felt my back go against someone. I felt arms literally wrap around me like rope. I immediately knew it was Luffy.

"Hey, don't be mean to my gang member!" Luffy said.

Doll froze. Then he asked, "And you are?"

"Monkey D. Luffy," he replied. "I'm gonna be King of the Gangs."

At first, Doll said nothing. Then he started laughing. "You, the King of the Gangs? Oh, that's rich!" 

"Luffy, I told you already!" Ace scoffed. "Whitebeard is going to be King of the Gangs!"

Doll froze again. He slowly turned to look at Ace. I can smell the fear coming off of him.

"What did you say?" he asked nervous.

Ace gave a big grin and said, "Oh, so you know who Pops is!" Then with the same smile, he glared. "Then you should know who Portgas D. Ace then, right?"

Doll looked over back at me, and I could tell he was shocked because he almost never shuts up.

"You're in Whitebeard's gang?" he said shocked.
