Hello there, my name is William Carney and I wrote all of the 15 stories that you may or may not read in this collection. My entire life I have had quite the imagination. I always thought of stories and adventures, much like any child at a young age, but I always had the urge, the desire to tell them to the world. Starting about in my Freshman year of High school, I began seriously writing these stories down on my computer at home, however these stories are not numerous and very weak, in my own opinion.

Then, in that Freshman year of high school, the school told me that I had to do a "personal project" which is essentially a project that everyone has to do in their Sophomore year that incorporates one of their favorite things and helps them learn about that thing that could possibly become their future job, or at least that is what I assume the purpose is. So, for this project, I decided to do this short story collection. The first five stories in this collection are stories that I wrote before I knew I was going to do this project, and the last ten were written after I knew that I was committed to this project. There was also a little time skip between the first five and the last ten, the former being written between October 22, 2015 and February 26, 2015, and the later being written between July 20, 2015 and January 15, 2016. That means that the first five stories, the stories that I wrote when I was still in my Freshman Year of High School, are not quite up to par with the later half, which I wrote during the summer before my sophomore year and during the first half of my sophomore year.

So because of this time skip and the fact that I was a very inexperienced writer in freshman year, the first five stories, like I have stated before, are the weakest and overall not as strong or as good as the later ten. However, I do think that they still offer some interesting ideas and plot points that really encompassed the way that I thought of storytelling during that time in my life. Although I am much more proud of my later work, I am glad that the five earlier stories are in there just to show how I thought during that time of my life even though they are a little tough to read at some points. If you really can't get past them and want to see what I really have to offer just skip ahead about one third into the collection to the story titled, "Sam and the Spider" which was the first story written after I knew the project was approved by the teacher who approved personal projects.

Either way I hope you get some sort of enjoyment out of this collection that is sorted chronologically in the way that I wrote it. I hope that it makes your day brighter, and or gives you a way to escape or just see what I have to offer in sorts of entertainment and storytelling. If you don't like any of the stories that is okay, I understand that they are not for everyone and I am still not the best writer, however I am getting better every day the more I write and read and absorb anything that I can so that maybe someday you will enjoy one of my works. Whatever happens, I wish you good luck in all of your endeavors and have a good day as you begin your journey into the Inconsistent Ramblings of a Constant Storyteller.
