"Doogs, get out here!" The fat, bald gym teacher yelled as spit flew out of his mouth like a diseased dog.

Enter Doogs Mcanderson, a 16 year old young man with shoulder length stark blonde hair and bright blue eyes. His face was nothing remarkable, he looked average for his age group. Doogs, or Dawson as his parents named him, always thought of himself as a normal young man. He didn't have a girlfriend, had a small group of friends, and wasn't very hated in his school. Yes, Doogs always thought of himself as normal, although that would soon change, it would all change. Sooner than he would have expected.

Doogs ran out onto the basketball court with his short shorts and his school t-shirt. He hated both of the garments that fitted snugly on his body. His bright blue tennis shoes were far too small and he could smell his socks from where his head sat atop his tall, 5' 11" body. The young man jogged up to his friend, Bear.

Bear, or Benson O'kennely, was a short hairy man with a wide physique. Bear stood almost a full foot shorter than his best friend, at about 5' even and the hair that covered his legs made it seem that he was wasn't wearing shorts at all, but actually wearing thick brown pants. Bear did not care to shave either, as thick facial hair dotted his neck and face in various spots in what the friend group named the Bear scathe.

"Dude you stink," Bear said with a deep voice.

"Shut up dude, I didn't have time to take my gym clothes home and wash them last night," Doogs explained, "So don't talk too loud or everyone will hear."

"Oh please," Bear replied, "Everyone can smell you from across the gym anyway what does it matter?"

"Dude just," Doogs sighed, "Just don't alright?"

Bear looked around the room suspiciously searching for anything that would make his friend uneasy until he saw what was bothering his friend. A large smirk grew on Bear's face as he turned his head back to Doogs, "It's Natalie, huh?"

"What?" Doogs feigned surprise at his friend's accusation.

"That's why you are acting so weird today. It's because you like Natalie," Bear poked a short stubby finger into his friends sternum.

The taller of the two young men quickly slapped a right hand onto his friend's mouth, "Dude shut up. You are so loud, has anybody ever told you that you just talk so loud?" He released the grasp on his friends face.

"Nobody has told me that in my life," Bear replied.

"Well you are, and you should be quieter sometimes because you are much too loud," Doogs shifted in his place.

"Alright man whatever," His friend said as the two boys started paying attention to the fat gym teacher.

The school cafeteria, you will never find such a hive of silliness and hunger. For some, it is a place of relaxation and a safe haven away from the tyrannical teachers that plague their life outside of lunch, where they can be with friends and talk about trivial things that really won't matter in the long term. But not for others. For the select few that love math and science classes and do well in all of their courses even though they are the hardest classes that the school can throw at them, the school cafeteria is a place of fear.

Now, Doogs is not good in school, but lunch time is also a time of fear. For the small amount of times that he does sit in the cafeteria to eat, the large groups of popular kids tease and bully him constantly, making that room a dangerous place to be. So no Doogs and his group do not sit in the cafeteria, instead, they decide to take their place in the small, unused choir room in the back of the school.
