Once I fell asleep, I saw a magnificent woman and a strong looking man, standing next to each other, hand in hand.
"Hey Remi, do you remember us?" the woman asked.
"My child, it's us. Your parents." the man said.
Their voices were exactly like the time killed the Cyclops. "Mom and Dad? Is that you?"
"Oh my darling, " Hecate exclaimed running to me. She held me tightly. "I'm sorry we left you. We couldn't help it. We didn't want you to die. We loved you, we really do. Please belive us."
Ares walked over, teary eyed as well. He gave me a pat on my head. "You were very beautiful when you fought those Cyclops. Happy Birthday, my armor girl."
"What are you guys here for? I thought you totally abandoned me." I said wiping my tears away. They both embraced me. "Sweetie, don't ever think that. We just want you to be safe, but I'm very sorry about your friends."
I shook my head. "You're not at fault. It was just a b-bad..." my voice trailed off. it was hard for me to make it sound okay. "Honey, cry all you want. We know that it's been rough for you." Ares said, leaning me on his hard armor.
I laughed and cried at the same time. "No Dad, it's fine. I've cried too much already. There was a reason why I joined the tournament you know."
Ares laughed, patting my head again. "That's my girl. Don't loose it."
"I won't."
Hecate looked at me worringly. "Do you know how to fight?"
I nodded. "Yep, first time fighting and I already know how to fight. I am the child of Ares, so my skills are aleady sharp. Maybe I should add Dad's moves along with creating mine."
Though she still looked worried, she handed me a deck of cards. I took it and looked at her. "We're going to play poker?" She laughed. "No silly. They're shields and weapons of all kinds. From Ghosts to actual sheilds. We did that to make sure you're going to be all right during the tournament. "
I looked at them with a grateful look. I hugged them. "Thank you mom and dad. Even though this is too much, this is the best thing I'd ever recieved from you two. I could possibly ask for more."
They hugged back and let go. "My darling, we'll watch over you. Good luck," they said, waving at me. "Thank you." I mumbled.
I awoke at 6:47. It was a bit dark, but the sun was up. In my hands were the deck of cards I saw in my dreams. I held it close to me as if I could never let go. I looked around. Everyone was alseep. Why don't they recieve a little prank themselves?
I took out a can of wiped cream and sprayed it on their nose and mouth. I giggled as I put the can away. I made my bed, took a quick shower, and snuck out. There was hardly anyone outside. The cold morning made me just want to run. And I did, with the deck of cards in my pocket.
After a did a jog around camp several times, I went behind the mess hall and took out the cards. I openned it looked at each. They all had an image of swords and bows and daggers. Some sheilds were actually decoys to distract the enemy. I memorized some cards and tried it out. I made a replica of everything on the cards. Now this will be cool.
Then I heard some voices calling for me. I peered at them. It was my cabin-mates, their face with cream all over. I couldn't help, but laugh out loud. They found me and began nudging me. They complemented on how well I did on the prank. Clarisse was wiping her face with a grin. "I'm going to get back at you Remi. Watch out."
I giggled as we went back. Eventually, it was time for breakfast. I walked in and saw Piper and Jason close to each other. An evil grin sread on my face. I was behind them, crepting closer and closer. They didn't notice me until I whispered, "Boo." in between them. They both jumped or sceamed. Jason almost fell back. Everyone just laughed.
