#4 Her Headband?

Chapter 4

If you saw him now, you wouldn't believe he is the World's Strongest Fumetsu, a cold-hearted blood-thirsty immortal killer. His tears were falling down faster than you could describe, and there was snot coming down from his nose. He looked like an ordinary crying kid. He shouted while crying. Sakura couldn't take it in any more either, she started crying loudly too.

It was truly a heart breaking scene. Lucifer took it all out at once. Every since he was small Lucy had protected him in every way she could, not one moment passed when Lucifer felt lonely. Lucy was always there for him. But she isn't there anymore.

She's dead, it's a fact. Even if they somehow manage to go to Hell it was possible that they wouldn't find her there. Every day Lucifer thought of Lucy. He hoped that someday he would be able to pay Lucy back for all the things she did for him. But a time like that won't come anymore. It was all over...

Suddenly something broke the moment. Lucifer felt a leg shake his shoulder. He slowly put Lucy down and looked to his right. His eyes widened and he stood up.

"O...o.....o-o....onay-sama?!" Lucifer managed to blurt it out.

*Onay-sama means big sister.

"Huh?" Sakura said and looked around but she couldn't see anybody else except Lucifer. "Oh, it must be his ability again" she thought and looked at Lucy's body. The Lucy in front of Lucifer smiled. "Onay-sama!" Lucifer cried out with tears coming out of his eyes as he jumped to hug Lucy.

But right at that moment Lucy disappeared. That caused Lucifer to fall to the ground on his knees with both his hands to the ground. "Was it just my imagination..?" he thought out loud. But he was proven wrong right after that as he felt two very familiar arms hug his neck from behind and a head resting on his shoulders.

"Onay-sama...why? I thought we were gonna live......together.....forever?" he whispered. Lucy clenched her teeth. "I'm sorry..." she whispered. After that Lucifer felt Lucy's body getting lighter and disappearing. "No, don't go!" he shouted looking back, but Lucy wasn't there any more.

"Why..." he whispered, "why did you...?"

Lucifer gripped the grass under the palm of his hands. "Huh?" he spoke out as he moved his hand in front of his face to examine the unknown object he caught. "Lucy's...headband...? But that..." his mouth said automatically.

"It's a gift" he heard a voice say. He slightly smiled with silent tears and tied the headband around his neck like a scarf.

You see the features of the Fumetsus are very important. The black hair signifies the dark mind and empty life, it also shows their sadness. The red eyes show how thirsty there are for blood.

And the headband is the most important feature. If a headband is white, it means the Fumetsu is under control. But if it's a light shade of red it means they lost their sanity and became complete monsters. Completely red headbands are dangerous. Not only that if a headband is ever scarred or torn or anything the owner will get hurt. They won't die, because they can't die, but they'll get visibly very injured even though the headband will recover to it's original state some hours later. A Fumetsu normally treasures their headbands more than their lives. And if you ever give it to somebody it means you trust them 120%. But normally no Fumetsu ever dares to give others their headbands.

Lucifer stood up. He wrapped Lucy's body with the white cloth again. "Can we take her with us?" he asked, almost like a kid asking for toys from his parents. Lucifer was acting totally different than usual and he was normally smart enough to know that they can't take her with them.

"She needs a proper burial" Sakura said wiping away the tears. Lucifer nodded hesitantly and picked up Lucy, walking around to her grave again and putting her down. "I'll treasure this" he said before burying her again.

"Where should we go next?" Sakura asked.

"I'd like you to tell me more about how we're going to hell" said Lucifer, wiping his face clean. He seemed to have returned.
