"What is it that you mean to tell me?" She demanded, infuriated.
She was put in a halt at his sudden touch. The way he pulled her to the side of the street sent shivers down her spine. She glances at him as his chest heaves in, looking down on the ground.
The silence is unsettling, making her want to be elsewhere but here.
His lips quivered, his tone of delivery set her aback, figuring out the words at the back of her mind. She stared at him, mouth agape. She swallowed bitter bile, uncertain of this scene.
With those words, that one question... She knew their friendship would never be the same as it was before.
