Chapter 10: HE IS A PEARL

In the morning i was OVER sad cory. I bounded down the stairs. derrick was shirtless sitting on the table eating cereal and jocelyn was next to him. They were watching american horror story.

TV: GO AWAY TATE!!!!!

Jocelyn: BITCH I WOULDVE TAKEN HIM YOUR A DUMBASS VIOLET!!!

Derrick darted his eyes toward the stairs where i was at. I quickly backed up.

Derrick: i know youre there.

I slowly came out of the stairwell and walked towards the kitchen. I tried not to look at his bare chest. It was so toned and beautiful.

Derrick smiled and milk dribbled out of his mouth.

Derrick: oml that was not attractive.

I beg to differ. I would lick everydrop of milk from his mouth.

Oh yeah.

Jocelyn looked disgusted she looked at me then at derrick.

J: that was gross Derrick.

D: whatever

He wiped off the milk. He looked at me and asked

Derrick: have you eaten yet?

Me: no, i had so much soda last night. IM STUFFED. I cant eat right now.

Derrick and j: but thats not food.

Jocelyn said it like she was offended

Me: derrick stop worrying about me!

Derrick: sorry..

He wimpered. OML he was soy cute latte. The way we worried makes my heart hurt.

He sipped some cereal and looked at me again. The Derrick spoke.

D: so do you like it here or do you like in Michigan better?

Obviously my answer was here but i wanted to give him a tone of mystery, so I stood there "thinking" and then i finally said

Me: here

I couldn't help but smile and then he shot back another question.

Derrick: what do like about "here"?

Me: many reasons

Deerick: can you give me one?

Me: you give me hope.

I said that teasingly. His head shot towards mine and his mouth dropped.

Derrick: HEY YOU CANT USE THAT

me: why? Derrick? Im only using it because you used it when you started randomly dancing with me!

His face shifted and he looked down.

Jocelyn walked away and opened the door to callie.

Callie walked in the door pushing jocelyn aside.

Callie: food. Now.

Jocelyn's chins popped out.
