Chapter 4

Amelia woke up in a room she did not recognize. As she looked around she was surrounded in such a beautiful room. "Oh good! You're awake!" She heard a soft voice say. Amelia turned to the door and saw Princess Lydiana standing there nervously. "Where am I?" She asked looking at her. Lydia sighed, walking over to the bed which was the most comfortable bed Amelia has ever slept on. She sat down near her and said cautiously, "This is my room Amelia." Her eyes grew wide with surprise then Amelia said, "Wait, I'm in your castle?" Lydia nodded and beamed. Amelia closed her eyes and then she looked up and spoke, "I can't believe my mate is THE Princess of the Vampires." Lydia smiled then said, "Few people know that we are mates, we will tell everyone when we are both ready. But my mother would love to meet you if that is alright." Amelia nodded and got off of the bed then followed Lydiana to where she assumed was one of the dens of the castle. When they walked in she saw the King and Queen waiting for them. "Ah Ms. Camelia Renee, hello." The King said bolstering while putting his hand out eagerly to shake. Amelia shook his hand firmly and said, "Hello, you can just call me Amelia." He chuckled and nodded. The Queen slightly pushed him out of the way saying, "Now Greg let me meet the wonderful girl. Amelia you are absolutely beautiful. I am happy Lydia has such a wonderful mate." Amelia grinned and thanked her. "Uh I'm gonna show Amelia around the castle." Lydia said awkwardly. Her parents nodded and started to talk amongst themselves.

Amelia followed Lydia out of the room and said, "Your parents are really nice. I like them." She laughed and said,"They're also really pushy." Amelia smiled and they went on Lydia showing Amelia different places in the castle. "I'm honestly really happy I didn't get stuck with a gold-digging mate." Lydia said turning to Amelia. Amelia turned to her brows furrowed and said,"I'm glad you're not stuck up and think you're better than everyone just because you're the Princess." Amelia said laughing. She laughed with Amelia and they talked about themselves."I can have your parents come to the castle tomorrow if you'd like." Lydia said smiling. Amelia looked at her sadly and said, "It's just my mother, my dad died when I was 8." Her smile dropped and she frantically tried to apologize but Amelia told her it was fine, that it had happened a long time ago. "Do you mind if my two best friends Maddy and Matty come with my mother?" Amelia asked.  She shook her head saying that they could come too. They continued on their way around the castle.
