I didn't wake up again until the sudden sound of a creaking door startled me out of my dreams. Rolling off the bed, I crouched on the floor peering underneath the bed as two small feet crept in closing the door behind himself as he backed up. A metallic clatter sounded as a spoon fell followed by an almost inaudible "oops". I stood up from my position on the ground to find Bryen carrying a bowl of Lucky Charms and beaming a smile.

"Andy says I'm not supposed to go near you because your dangerous.."He said, whispering the word dangerous. "but I think you look like a princess."

I chuckled softly thinking how not princess-like I probably looked with bed head and throbbing black eye but Bryen seemed unfazed. He passed me the bowl of cereal then wiped the spoon with his Iron Man t-shirt before sitting cross legged in front of me. I sat down after him accepting the offered spoon and feeding myself a mouth full of marshmallows.

"That's my favorite cereal. I don't really like to share it but it is a good occasion and I want you to be my friend." Bryen continued looking at me intently.

Again I stared at the child in front of me astonished by his intelligence. Bryen had to be at most five years old but he spoke so maturely for a child of his age. I had no doubts that Andy must have been just like Bryen at that age. They both seemed to have this identical twinkle in their eyes whenever they looked at me, eyes that seemed to know more than they let on.

"Of course I'll be your friend." I smiled through another bite.

"Good. I gotta go now before Andy finds me.."

"Too late for that Bry." Came from the now open door. "Gotta be sneakier than that bud." Shane chuckled softly,

Shane and Andy stood together in the doorway the latter less than pleased that Bryen was alone with me. Giving me a sheepish grin before speeding out of the room I watched as the bundle shoved his way through both men's legs. I looked up to the two men that couldn't be anymore opposite. Shane was smiling nonchalantly at me while Andy made no move to hide his obvious annoyance.

Jerk.

You know when someone gets caught looking at you they instantly try to change their expression or look away? Not Andy, in fact he seemed to glare even more at eye contact.

"Put some clothes on will ya?" Andy said throwing a bag at me. "Especially if your gonna sit in front of Bryen, he's only five for crying out loud" he continues giving me an impossibly meaner glare and walking away.

Dead. I would be dead right now if eyes had the power to kill. I mean what could possibly be his problem so early in the morning anyway? The guy acted like he continuously had a foot up his ass all the time.

Which wouldn't be a bad idea actually........

"Sorry about that but you should really get dressed." Shane said pointedly looking at the t-shirt that felt all too revealing now. "That's one of his favorite shirts by the way......buuuut on another hand, I have plans for us today so please get dressed Ariana." He smiled again before closing the door behind himself.

I stood from the floor grabbing the white bag they had left in front of me. Inside was a white t-shirt, faded ripped jeans, and nude ballet flats. I found it strange that two guys owned women's clothes until I noticed the tags still on the items.

"So they can shop.......how nice" I mumbled to myself.

Under the clothes I found an underwear set and blushed when I saw the lacy black material. It definitely screamed Shane the longer I stared at them. I sighed grabbing the clothes and walking into my personal bathroom where I set the record of all showers. It felt nice to be clean and safe after what I'd been through but I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd be seeing my father sooner than I thought I would .
