"What's its supposed mean? Is it a code or something?'' My friend, Mitsuo, asked. "I don't know.''
"Oh, maybe it's a haunted number that texted you!'' Mitsuo gave a creepy grin. Mitsuo was always in liking with creepy stuff like that. "Mitsuo... why would a haunted number text me?'' I asked. "You never know. Hey.. where did you get that bracelet? I been seeing it on a lot of people and I think it looks cool.'' I looked at my wrist and was confused. "I never bought this bracelet. I didn't even have it on most of the day.'' I said, still looking at the red, black, and blue bracelet on my wrist. "What, you're weird today haha. Maybe you need to get more sleep.'' She said while she took a bite from her gyoudon bowl. "Yeah..you're right.'' I didn't say anything as I got up and left her here. "hey where're you going?" she yelled after me.  
   
When I got home, I tried pulling the bracelet off but it wouldn't budge. Then I got some scissors to try to cut it but it still would't budge. After 20 minute of trying to figure out how to get this thing off me, I felt dizzy and remember a voice saying my name and then everything went black.

  Where am I? I cant see anything.

  "Welcome to the game  new contestants. My name is Dobuko Kutsu. You are the last contestants to be welcomed to the game. You all must want to know what is going on and why you're all here? Well it's about the game of course. Are you wondering what game? You are all to fight and kill each other to win."  kutsu sound like he's talking to alot of people except I dont see anyone. " What are you going to win? That will be told to you when you are the only one that is left alive. Now, if you all look at your wrists you will see a bracelet." I looked at my wrist and saw the same bracelet from before.  "That will indicate  who is in the game. You can see your own and you can see other's. Your phones also play a part in the game. There will be an app on your phones and when you go into the app, there will  a list of 5 different people that you can challenge to fight each week. Each persons name will have an ability and rank next to it. You also will have an ability.  In that app ,next to your name, there will be an ability name and it will be obvious. As you all can tell, there is an unknown number of people you are all against. it's your job to find out. The rest of the rules will be in the app. Good luck and I can't wait to see who the last person standing is. ''

I woke up quickly. "What....'' I muttered as I looked at my wrist. The bracelet was still there. This game is real and there is nothing I can do about it. I quickly checked my phone and as said in my dream, there was an app that I never saw on my phone before. I saw a notification from a text from Mitsuo "where are you? are you okay?" 

"OH SHIT!'' I yelled as I looked at the time. I hadn't realized that I was about to be late to school. "Did I fall asleep? I hadn't realized'' I said to myself as I got dressed. "Good morning, Murasaki-san.'' The landlord greeted me. '"Good morning!''  I replied as I rushed to school.

    "MURASAKI-SENPAI!" An junior, that had confessed to me a few weeks ago, yelled as he ran towards me. "Hi Kouta-kun.'' I waved at him. "You're late, did something happen? You're not sick are you?''
"Yes.'' I said, receiving a gasp from him and a concerned look. "I just overslept.'' I said, walking past him with a smug look. "WAIT SENPAI! um..would you like to go to Burger King to just hang out and maybe talk?'' As I turned around blush was obvious on his face. Standing there for a few seconds in silence, he started to scratch the back of his neck. "Sure!'' I replied,  "Let's go after school.'' He said with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Ok.'' I ran off to class. the rest of the day went normal for some reason. I started to get concerned about the idea of being targeted at some point but brushed it off because the day was going as normal as possible so far.

"Wow Murasaki-senpai, I never  thought that  you would be able to eat that much.'' Kouta stared at me in awe as I finished the last of my burger. "Is it weird?" I asked, my face feeling hot a bit. "No no. I kinda like it. Look, it's getting late.'' Kouta pointed out, "I'll walk you home.'' We got up and started to walk. After about 10 minutes we started to pass a park near my house. "let' go there for a little. I don't want to go just yet".  

I sat on the swings when Kouta said, "hold on I'll be back, I saw something and I want you to have". After he left I started to wonder what my ability was. there was a picture of me with my name and i clicked it.  I looked at my profile on the app and the screen showed this;

Great. I don't even get to see what ability I have. 

I  got a text saying;

Go to the in-app store to by shelter tickets using points(earn points by killing another player) -admin

I went to check out the store and they had things like shelter tickets that disables other players from challenging you or killing you. They also had various weapons. "COME ON MURASAKI-SENPAI!" Kouta yelled to me from the slide. I quickly put my phone in my bag and ran to the slide. We just stood there for a few seconds before he started to speaking.

"I didn't think you would go with me to Burger King.'' Kouta looked at me with a wide smile. "Well, I just thought after I turned you down I at least owe you a chance to hang out with me.'' I smiled up at him. He started to walk to the bench, across from the swings. "I'm really happy you said yes to hanging out with me.'' He casted his eyes downward and grew a grin. "You will never know how much this means to me.'' He said with a giggle. I started to feel uncomfortable. " I think I should go. It's really dark out''.

 Kouta was just silent. "Thank you for today uh.... I live around the corner so I can go by myself.'' I started to walk away. Suddenly I felt a pain in my arm. I look down to see a sharp metal in my right arm. I winced as I watched it being pulled out. "Thank you for making me so happy.'' I heard Kouta say from right behind me. With terror, I turned around and Kouta's right arm was covered in a metal like armour. "Oh, I almost forgot to welcome you to the game senpai.'' He giggled at himself. "What?!'' I said, frozen in fear. "You're.. in... the game too?'' I tried to contain my terror enough to be able to talk. "Yup!'' He answered while dancing around me. "I really wish you would fight back. I  want this to be a challenge, it'll be more fun that way. Wait, don't tell me, are you scared?'' He laughed. While he was laughing I started to run towards a parking lot. "You can run but I will always be able to find you. Just fight back. Lions can appreciate their kill because they have to go after it. Don't make me run too much, I'm not much of a runner'' I heard him say behind me. I sprinted away from him.

I weaved my way through cars until I found a ally. Without hesitation, I ran into it. "Your running skills are impressive but you're making this very tiring!'' He said as he caught up to me. I looked forward and saw that there was a dead end. "Looks like you lose!'' He brought his arm above his head and swung. Instinctively  I closed my eyes and brought my arms in front of my face. I had nothing to do except be ready for pain and my death. But nothing happened. I felt tingling feeling in my right arm. When I brought my arms down, I saw Kouta's body at the opening of the ally. He was right in front of me so, how'd he end up all he way  at the opening of the ally . As I walked up to him, I started to see a pool of his blood surround him as his body started to fall apart into a bunch of pieces. "K-Kouta..?'' I called quietly. He didn't respond. Why would he respond. He he's sices up into a bunch of pieces. I felt sick. I moved away from the mush and vomited. i cried and emptied my stomach.

I heard clapping right next to me.
"Wow, I never would think my neighbor would be a psychopath.'' I turned to see... Yagasumi Kyoko.
