"You've got to be fucking kidding me," I mumbled to myself. Its seven am and everyone in this damn house is loud. Do they not have any respect? It's hard enough juggling school and a job, but I was up all night last night studying. I didn't get to bed until around 4. Three whole hours of sleep. Fuck yeah! Just what I need to start my day off.
I could still hear loud ass voices but I couldn't quite make out who they belong to so I silently growled to myself and got up out of bed to investigate. I slowly made my way towards all the commotion which seemed to be coming from the kitchen. As I walked into the kitchen it was like a fucking party.
"Oi! What's with all this noise? It's 7am and I'm trying to fucking sleep!" I half-yelled at the group.
"Well well. Look who finally joined us. It's not 7am. It's 7 pm," Said my twin brother, Cloud.
My mouth dropped in disbelief. I guess I should have known it was pm. It was rather dark outside, but in my defense I'm not all there when I first wake up and don't have coffee.
As if reading my mind Tifa (who is Cloud's girlfriend) said, "someone make the girl some coffee. You all know how she is when she doesn't have tons of caffeine in her system." I slightly glared at her, playfully of course.
"Yes mam!" came the response from my best friend, Yuffie.
I grumpily took a seat at the table and laid my head down. I'm honestly extremely pissed at myself for sleeping so long. I had planned to be up at around 1. I didn't want to sleep the day away.
I sighed heavily and Cloud asked, "what's wrong, Oma?"
"Just mad at myself. I wanted to get out today." I replied.
"Do you know what day it is?" Yuffie asked.
"Um, Saturday?" I asked.
"Honestly, do you stay so busy you forget what day it is?" Cloud asked.
"I stay so busy that I don't even have time to think."
"It's yall's birthday!" Said Tifa.
My jaw dropped. How did I forget my own birthday? I really need to stop staying so busy. If I keep going like this, I'm gonna have a heart attack or a stroke by the time I'm thirty. "I can't believe I forgot our birthday," I said in disbelief.
"I'm guessing you don't have anything planned, then?" inquired Yuffie.
"I guess not," I replied scratching the back of my head.
"Do you even know how old we are today?" Cloud questioned playfully.
"Of course I do," I said glaring at him, "We're 21."
"Woo! The big 21!" yelled Cloud's friend, Zack, coming from seemingly nowhere, "We should all take yall out and show yall how to party."
"No thanks. I might out-drink you guys and I don't wanna embarrass any of yall." I said with a smirk.
"Nonsense. Can't no one out drink me!" said Zack causing me to giggle a bit.
"Except maybe Oma," Yuffie snickered. "You know as well as I do how much she can drink."
Zack then sent her a glare, "Yeah, you just gotta remind me that this little girl can drink more than a fish." I laughed at that.
I've always had a small crush on Zack. I knew he was off limits, him being my brother's best friend and a really great friend of mine, but damn if he wasn't great to look at. He has beautiful ocean blue eyes. His hair is the most beautiful shade of black (if that's how you wanna say it.) He's super tall, standing at around 6'3. He has sharp angular features. Boy oh boy does he have a nice body. He's completely ripped.
