Third person POV

It was early morning at Camp Half-blood. The soft summer breeze passed over the sleeping cabins. The night was undisturbed by any sounds except snoring from a few of the campers. Two demigods were awake. One was Percy Jackson. The son of Poseidon. The 19 year old was sitting at the dock by the lake with his legs dangling over the side. He was watching the early morning sunshine rise over the trees and onto the green lake lighting it so it glowed like an emerald. The boy was dressed in his orange Camp Half-blood T shirt with black cargo shorts, his feet were bare and just barely grazing the water below. His skin seemed to light up as the sun rose higher lighting up his sun kissed skin as well as his forest green eyes. He stood up and ran a hand through his dark raven hair that was unkept and messy from the nightmare he had before he came out to the lake. The water always calmed him. It felt like his father was comforting him in his own way.

The second demigod awake was Nico di Angelo. The son of Hades. The recently turned 17 year old lay awake in his dark cabin. His heart pounding in his chest, sweat making his clothes cling to his body.

Nico's nightmare Nico's POV

Percy and I were falling. He eyes closed as if he were just asleep, but we fell down into a dark pit filled with black water. I hold my breath MD try to float to the surface. The scene shifted to where Olympus. I was watching myself from where I was floating the other Nico was standing in the throne room of the gods and goddesses and in the very center was a stone alter and there lay Percy. He was dressed in the nicest robes that draped over the side's of the alter and upon his head was a golden wreath. His hands were layer on his chest his feet bare and poking out of the bottom of the robe, and two pennies covered his eyes. The other Nico went up to the alter and laid his head in Percy's chest and cried.

"I miss you Percy." He said as tears fell from the sides of his eyes.

"No. No! Percy Jackson can't be dead! I never got got to tell him how I felt!" I shout holding my head trying to process this information.

The dream shifts again to where I was knocking on Percy's cabin door and he opens it smiling happily holding a blue apple in his hand. He gestures for me to come in and sit down. I sit on the blue couch in the beginning part of his cabin and watch him leave into his bedroom. I wait for a while before I hear a thud come from his room. I quickly stand up and cautiously enter Percy's room. I push open the door and see the blue apple roll in front of me and Percy collapsed on the floor a single bite in it tells me it was poisoned.

End of nightmare
Back to third POV

Percy strolled back to his cabin the morning light lighting his way. He took the way that only a son of Poseidon would choose the water route. Percy willed the water under him to be firm enough for him to walk on it. That way he didn't cut his feet on the twigs or rocks since he was bare foot. He created stairs up onto the dock behind his cabin and allowed the water to become permeable again. As he got in there was a knock on the door. Percy hoped it was Nico but when he opened the door no one was there. He looked left and right not a soul in sight. He stepped out further out of the cabin when his feet brushed something. He looked down and saw a basket full of fruit of every color but on the very top was a blue apple. He was about to grab the blue apple when someone tackled him make both him and Percy barrel roll inside.

Percy looked to see who had landed on top of him and saw the small Ghost King. Their eyes met and without either noticing it a flash of light passed over their eyes. (Like in Hotel Transylvania with Mavis and Johnny)

"Are you okay?" Percy asked sitting up carefully so that Nico could back up and slip off the older boy.

"Yeah, um..."

"Good. Now why did you tackle me?" Percy asked in a serious tone.

"Have you eaten anything? Any fruit?" Nico asked checking him over. Not seeing any blue fruits in his hands.

"No, but there was a fruit basket outside my door. Did you send that?" Percy asked suggestively.

Nico blushed a deep pink. "No! So you didn't eat anything from the basket right?"

Percy shrugged, then spotted the blue apple under his bed. He went to grab it but it was snatched up by Nico. "Don't eat this. It might be poisoned!.. or something." He quickly added holding the fruit away from Percy.

Percy looked at him confused. "I'm sure it's fine Nico." He said snatching it back. And before the smaller boy could protest Percy took a bite and chewed. "See? Not poisoned." Percy said. Nico swallowed the lump in his throat as he watched Percy eat the blue fruit.

"It must've been the dream I had." Nico whispered to himself. Suddenly the blue fruit fell to the floor and Percy collapsed.

"Percy!" Nico cried out as he grabbed the boy as he fell trying not to let him hit his head. Percy's breathing slowed dramatically almost to the point it was barely there. Percy felt limp in Nico's arms, he didn't know what to do. Nico shadow traveled Percy to the infirmary and shocked as well as startled the on duty Will Solestes. (Idk how to spell his name)

"What happened!" He yelled as he rushed about grabbing medical supplies. Nico felt tears spill out of his eyes and sobs beginning to choke him. "He was poisoned."
