Percico and the Blue Bean

Percy and Nico have been gay for their whole lives everyone accepts full. Percy 28 Nico 25. Married.

Percy sat on the sea shore admiring the rising tide. He heard footsteps coming up and stopping behind him.

"Hey Seaweed Brain." Nico greeted sweetly as he sat down beside his husband and wrapped a warm arm round his shoulders. Nico wore black shorts that showed off hid pale but firm calves and a simple yellow shirt with a silly emoji face on the front.

"Hey babe." Percy replied kissing Nico's cheek and snuggling up to the younger boy.

"What cha doing?" Nico asked stroking the soft hair on Percy's head.

"Nothing really but watching the sun set, and cuddling with you." They sat on silence and watched as Apollo did his work.

"Come on let's go home." Nico said helping Percy to his feet. The two men walked along the empty street giggling and whispering sweet things to each other. It was dark but the summer wind kept the cold at bay. The road they were on was deserted, but suddenly there was a little flash of light. Percy spotted it first and quickly ran over to where he saw it.

"Nico come look!" He exclaimed.

Nico immediately went to his husband's side and saw on the ground was a tiny light blue bean; no bigger than their pinkie nail. Percy picked it up and the small bean shifted to a dark blue. "It changed color look!" Percy said putting it into Nico's hands where it flashed again to a pink and blue swirl.

Nico cooed at the small bean and giggled. "They look like baby colors." Immediately they blushed. Since they were both male they could not have a child of their own that was completely theirs and the subject was never brought up to who if anyone, would be the biological father. As if sensing the male's distress the bean changed color to purply blue and began to glow lightly.

"Let's get it some water and talk in the morning." Percy said leading the way up the front steps of their porch unlocked the door and stepped aside for Nico to step in. Taking off their sandy shoes both males went it to the kitchen and attend the tiny bean. Percy grabbed a small tea cup and water and Nico placed the seed inside and set it next to the window of the window that overlooked the ocean. After that they were extremely exhausted and decided to go to sleep.

Little did they know that the tiny bean plant was growing at an alarming rate into the size of a small child.

The next morning both men awaken to the sound of a baby crying. They at first ignore it when it stopped and figured it was a neighbor passing by with their baby, but when it sounded again both snapped their eyes opened, jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to the source of the crying. In the beans place was a small naked baby boy holding the tea cup the bean was held in. The baby had dark Raven colored hair and peach colored skin. He was crying just trying to get attention. Nico was the first to respond and picked up the small child and rocked him back and forth softly. "Aww. Percy isn't he the cutest." At the sound of Percy's name the baby stopped crying and opened up it big round hazel eyes to look up at Nico. He started cooing and babbling playing with Nico's fingers and tried to eat his skull ring that he wore on a chain around his neck and wedding band.

"I'll go get a blanket." Percy hurriedly rushing off to find a blanket. In a few moments he was back. "Here Nico wrap him in this." At the sound of Nico's name the baby again laughed and squirmed in Nico's hold. Nico wrapped the small child in the blanket and sat on the seat of the bay window. The soft ocean breeze swayed in and ruffled the baby's tuff of hair. Nico saw in the light the baby's eyes seemed to glow a brilliant green like Percy's and his hair darkened like his own and was in pretty much the same style: bed head.

"Let's call the police to find out if there are any missing babies in the area." Percy said picking up the phone and dialing 911.

"What should we call him?" Nico asked holding the baby under his arms. Percy gave him a look. "For now." He added.

Percy gave a skeptical look but looked longingly at the baby in Nico's arms. "How about...Alec?"

"Alec..." Nico repeated allowing the name to roll off his tongue. "I like it." He looked down at the baby in his arms. "Alec Andros di Angelo Jackson. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it?" He asked to the little baby who was not paying any attention to his father.

"Nico. There are no babies reported missing from any homes. I think he came from the bean."

"A baby from a bean?" Nico raised an eyebrow and tried to be serious but he it didn't help when he had a laughing baby in his arms.

"I mean think about it we both touch the bean it changes colors, you talk about baby colors, the next morning we find a baby with the tea cup we had the bean in, and now we know that there are no babies missing in the surrounding area tell me it has to be some kind of joke." Percy looked like a jumbled mess.

"It's probably fate of the Gods. We are a gay couple and can't have children of our own efforts, then we find a way to have a child that is completely ours and you are trying to refute that?!" Nico's voice was getting louder by the second. "Percy he has your eyes, he has our hair, he has a combination of us both. I love him and he's ours so put any doubt about being a good father aside and come hold your son!" Percy snapped to attention. With a scowl on his face Nico carefully placed little Alec into Percy's arms and felt his worries melt way.

"Aww. He's so tiny." Percy said bouncing Alec a little as he began to fuss.

"You and I will be great Father's." Nico said hugging his now complete family.
