Later on that night we set up a fire, and by we, I mean Allanon. I wasn't girl scout then and don't have the skills now. Though I seem to developing some such as fighting. Then there's Wil who I was supposedly going to protect? How if I want to hurt him myself? Tsk.
I sat by the the fire, on a log with a lot of our stuff surrounding me and a blanket on my shoulders. The sky was full of stars and trees were all around. They looked hauntingly beautiful, but I find everything at night that way. Wil was sitting on the opposite side of the fire and Allanon sat down by a tree sharpening a sword.
"Eno. Come here." Allanon called me to him, patting the place beside him. I got up and walked around the fire to him feeling confused. I didn't notice Wil watching my every move. I got by Allanon and sat down. "Yes."
"We need to talk about who you are. Take a walk with me?" I got eager. I have been waiting for this. Anticipation started to build up in my stomach. He held out a hand for me which I took. We then walked further into the woods. Leaving Wil alone.
Once we were a decent distance away he began to talk.
"As you know you are Wil's protector, but you were also his father's and his grand dads. Every Shannara ever you have protected. I know you don't remember; I figured as much when you didn't recognize me. Tonight when you sleep you will get all you powers and your memory will start to come." My eyes widened with disbelief. No I just died today. I know I did.
"How can I have live that long? How am I still young then?" I asked waving my arms frantically because quite frankly this wasn't making any sense to me.
"In all the others lives you simply just stayed young, but the last one something went wrong." I made a circle motion with my hands sticking my neck out. "Annnnnnnd?"
"And I can't tell you what happened. Not now. But what's going to be difficult for you to hear and for me to say is..."
At this point I was so frustrated. He was drawing this out too long. "WHAT!"
He cringed. Allanon cringed. "Ummm, you're my grandmother?" That's when everything went dark.
