"I can't believe Lucas fucking friar would even be here.." Maya said while pacing angrily.
I scoffed at her language. She knows I can't stand it, but she can't always help herself.
Her fists were clenched and her face was red, which was the signs Riley knew. The sign's that Maya was absolutely furious.
"We'll be fine peaches.. Don't worry about it. You and me have finally started out where no one knows us, we can have fun and just ignore him.."
I said trying to calm her nerves, and half smiling. She unclenched and relaxed."Riley, this boy bullied you and made your life miserable every day! I just wish I could've gotten him back."
I just looked down and sighed. It's not like there's anything we can do about it.. We'll just have to let it go.
"You know what? We're dropping it. Think of something else. Just act like he doesn't exist."
Maya looked over and nodded slowly.
"You know what.. There's a party tonight! We should go! Please?" Maya said grinning widely at me.
The party scene wasn't my thing. It made me completely awkward and uncomfortable. The drinking and drugs especially, it brought back to many horrible memories.
Maya on the other hand? She was just one of those girls. The girls who are made for the party scene, and to be a social butterfly. She was uncontrollable, almost reckless even.
She also had that amazing edgy look. Her hair is long and wavy, it used to be blonde but she dyed it bright blue. It matches her personality.
She always had thick eyeliner and heavy mascara on, her friendship ring and her locket that was with her at all times. She also had two tattoos and a few piercings. One in her nose, eyebrow area, and tongue.
She was gorgeous because it worked for her. But me on the other hand, I was what we call a 'plain Jane'.
I had long dark brown hair, wore no makeup, and always kept on two things. One was my friendship ring with Maya, and the other was a dragonfly pin my mother gave to me.
We are nothing alike, but somehow the friendship meshed easily.
"I don't think so.. I'm gonna just stay in and unpack."
"Fine.. But you're coming next time." Maya huffed.
I smiled warmly and walked out of her room. She shared it with a very quiet woman who must've been here last year.
I ran outside and across campus to my dorm room hoping Lucas wouldn't be there.
