Chapter 9 - It doesn't always work out......

Emma's pov

Oh no what's happened.

I run up to the main doors and shout"EMMA". She didn't hear me. Shit. I quickly open the doors and run up behind her.

"Hey what's Wrong" i place a hand on her back and put my head to one side so i could see her face better.

Her eye light up and she whips away the tears as quick as she can. "OH nothing you know how hard school can get" she puts a smile on her face but i know it's fake. "Emma, School wouldn't have made you this upset, unless somthing happened to you ? I stare at her with worry.

"Oh Emma, it's nothing for you to worry about, honest." I narrow my eyes and stare at her. I know she's lying but why ?. She know she can come to me or the other, what has made her so upset ?

"Cut the crap Emma, i know your lying and i also know that you think you'll be burden to me or anybody else if you tell us whats wrong but honestly Emma you know you can talk to me, i'm not the kinda person to turn my back on you or the others" I sigh and take a deep breath. "Look you've been there for me, Gillian, Amy and rhona and have never walked away from us and i think it's time we return the favor. so tell me what's wrong and if you can't tell me at lest tell someone please "

I look right at her and i know i've seen that look some where before. The look, that tell people there in pain. The look of disappointment. The look of sorrow. And that's when it hits me. I seen that look before....in the mirror. Oh Emma, not you too.

She looks down at her feet and sighs .When shes looks back up, i see nothing but tears flowing down her face and that's when i put my arms around her. Holding her tight.

"Oh Emma, what's got you so upset.". I've never seen her like this before. The only person i seen like this was Amy . It was when me and Amy were at the park talking about Tom. apparently her and Tom got into such a big argument, that she stormed out his house and went home. when she told me this She looked so distort,so upset, so...distanced...like she wasn't even conscious, I had never seen one of my friend upset like that before.

And now Emma....MAYBE that's it. Maybe her and Daniel had got into argument but first...

"Come, you can tell me, on the way to my house" I give her a reassuring smile. She pulls out her phone and texts her mum and then nods. As to tell me her mums fine with it.

It was only till we got half way down the road that we started to talk.

"Is it something to do with Daniel" I place my hand on her shoulder. She doesn't smile but nods. I knew, the thing that happened at lunch, i knew he made her upset !

"What has he done, did he say something to you" My voice sounds almost threaten. She shakes her head. "Did he hurt you" I ask even tho i knew Dan wouldn't do something like that.

She shakes her head again. "Emma i can go on all day but i need to know so that way i know how to help you so please tell me"

She looks up and says "can we sit over there" she points to a bench. "Sure, yeah, OK" i give her a small smile. but she just looks back down at her feet.

We sit down and i place my arms to my sides, while she puts her hands on her lap.

"I don't..." her words trails off. "I don't think.." She looks like she about to break into tears again. oh no. "I don't think i love Daniel anymore" she then bends down and puts her hands on her face and cry's.

"Hey, hey, it's going to be fine" I pate her on the back trying to help her. She removes her hands and looks up to me. "No it's not, i don't know what's happened between us. He used to be my world. i used to think that i only needed him. i used to.....love him and i don't know why my feeling for him have suddenly disappear. Her voice breaks up. I feel so sorry for her. Her and Daniel seemed to be so happy, Just shows me that anyone can suffer.
