"Everything is gone." I whisper to my self.

I reach down and caress the cold cheek of my twin brother.

Close the eyes of my stone dead little sister.

Untangle the rubble from my lifeless mothers long gray hair, and finally, check my father for a pulse, a hope, a whisper, anything... nothing. Heartbroken, I fall on the floor in despair.

"Ow..." I reach up to my eye to feel not tears, but a warm sticky line of blood coming out of my left eye. I rush to the closest mirror I could find and look in, horrified of what I might see. my eye had lost its color. it wasn't the friendly green I'm used to seeing, but a dark gray. Did they do this to me on purpose? or was it a counter of the magic used? having just witnessed everyone I love in the world die, I didn't really care about my eye at the moment.

"I cant just sit here and feel sorry for my self." I say, holding back the tears. I scramble to find their wands. "I wont let them be forgotten." As I pick up the wands of my beloved family, a familiar blue pulse surrounds the room, and I'm struck away from the wands with a powerful blast of magic, but from who? were they back? I frantically get up and look around for the wands. To my surprise, they are right where I was holding them, but suspended in the air. Before I had any time to think about what was happening, my fathers wand rose higher, and let out another blue pulse, this time in the form of my fathers patronus, a great and mighty lion. The familiar cloudy blue lion stared me right in the eyes and said, "I will protect you Kenzie." Than ran at me with full force, absorbing in to my own wand. After this, I had a pretty good understanding of what was happening, while my fathers wand fell, my mothers soared into the surrounding air. With a tremble and a shake, out flew a starry, blue humming bird. The little bird flew close to my ear and whispered, "I will heal you." And with that it sped in to my wand. Next was my twin brothers wand. A cracking sound, followed by the muffled sound of a roar, a great big bear ripped its self out of Karson's wand, locking eyes with mine, the big blue creature lumbered over and spoke, "I will fight along side you." and with that, absorbed into my wand. Then last of all, my sweet little sister Finn's wand floated gracefully into place, out of the tip, shot a stream of starry blue magic, forming into the shape of a rabbit. The rabbit hops towards me, and speaks softly, "I will guide you on your way." then dissolves into my wand.

After that performance I couldn't help the tears from cascading down my cheeks.
