First Day

I thought I was stressed enough but no, first day of a new school and my alarm clock blares at my sensitive ears.
I get up to go get dressed, and my clumsy self trips over nothing and I fall on the carpet that isn't so soft.
Rubbing my head bump, I stumble to the bathroom to get ready.

After I'm all fixed up, I hear my phone ring and it's of course my best friend, Brooklyn.

"Yes?" I ask.
"Girl, it's your first day at a new school and your squad won't be there. How do you feel?" She asks like a news reporter looking for answers.
"Dreadful." I respond immediately, while trying to hold in my laughter.
"Well, anyway, after school I need you to report everything that happens. And remember, any mean girls and I'll go off. The movie is great but mean girls in real life suck." She says ending with a serious tone.
"I'll tell you everything, I promise, I got to go eat. Talk to you after school, right away, bye."
"Bye girl, don't forget." She warns me again.

I walk over to my closet, open the door and over look dozens of new outfits. I guess mom had gone school shopping without me. I'll have to thank her after school.

I suddenly can't stop staring at this gray sweater that say's, Like a Boss, and a pair of black tights. I pick them out instantly and grab my swag beanie.

I look in the mirror and am astounded by this look. So I take a mirror selfie and caption it, good look? Yes or no?
I post it on Instagram and instantly a 100 likes and comments with thumbs up and yes pop up.
I comment a quick thanks, grab my brown boots and head down stairs.

Rushing to the cabinet for cereal because my stomach is growling, I think of how the day will go. Will I make new friends, be popular again, or the weird newbie?

Well, with the thought still in my head, I finish up my cinnamon toast crunch, grab my keys, head out to the door and not before locking it.

I run to my Ferrari realizing I may be late if I don't hurry.
"To the building known worldwide as hell hole." I say to myself, and drive off.
