A House Of Awe

"So, we have got to hang out right now, you know some after school snacks and video game time," Shawn insists as we walk to our cars.
"Well, who's house?" Cameron asks.
"Mine, of course"
"Ha, yeah, so Sage, just follow me and Shawn to his house, my cars in the shop so he's giving me rides." Cameron informs me.
"Okay, will do," I say.

I walk over to my car and Shawn runs over to open the door for me.

"What a gentleman," I say blushing.
"You're welcome, anything for a cute girl."
"Okay, okay, enough flirting, let's go."
"Aight," he agrees and runs off to his car with Cameron waiting in the passenger seat.

I plug my phone into the aux cord waiting for Shawn to pull out of the parking lot. Before driving, I put on my playlist, Shawn says it's a few miles so the radio might disappoint.

Suddenly Shawn turns into a driveway up ahead so I park in front of the house. I can't close my mouth because I am in awe.
I shouldn't be shocked though, he is a successful pop sensation for teenage girls and guys all over the world. He definitely has money.

Before I can reach for the handle, it's Cameron this time to open my car door.

"Thanks," I say, again.
"You're welcome, come on," he orders softly.

I walk behind Cameron up to the front door, and he opens the door for me. He closes the door behind me and I'm speechless. His house is like an ocean, I can't stop looking at it and focusing on every detail.

"Sage, come on," Shawn says while running to the cabinet.
"See anything you like? Check the fridge for food and drinks, too."
"Okay." I utter out, still astounded.

I grab a Pepsi, a mini pack of takis and head upstairs after Cameron. He goes into the room with a Shawn Mendes poster. Wow.
He sits on the leather seat in front of the flat screen and grabs a controller turning on the Xbox one.
I sit on the water bed opening my Pepsi.
"Okay, halo or GTA," Shawn comes in asking Cameron.
"GTA dude," he replies inserting the game in the slot.

After watching them steal cars, helicopters and jets for a half hour, I get a call. It's Brooklyn!!!
I have so much to tell her, of course. We're both huge fans of Shawn, Cameron, and all of Magcon. When I tell her I'm at Shawn's house, who knows what she'll say.

I pick up and say, "Hey, I have big news!"
"I do too, Shawn Mendes posted a selfie of you, him, and Cameron Dallas on Instagram!!! Girl, what is going on down there?" She asks, obviously intrigued.
"Okay, what if I told you Shawn and Cameron go to my new school and I'm hanging with them at Shawn's right now?"
"AHHHHHH, I would say can I talk to them???" She asks like a puppy in need of a home.
"Sure, I'll get them."

"Okay, I'll be here." She says patiently.

I run upstairs when I see they had paused the game to eat their snacks.

"Guys, I have my best friend on the phone. She lives back in Indiana, where I moved from. Do you think you could..." I ask when Shawn interupts me.

"Hand me the phone, I have a fan to talk to. "

I hand him the phone so he stands up and starts talking to her like they're together. I can't stop laughing because I wonder what she's saying.

"So what's her name?" Cameron asks while annoyingly munching on his granola bar.

"Brooklyn."

"She seems nice", he says, "can we meet her? Like, fly up there to see her?"
"She would love that. A lot. I mean, I can't even believe I'm in the same room as you guys." I say, practically fangirling.

"We're people just like you, right?"

"Yeah, but celebrities. Oh and I forgot to tell you, I love your movie Expelled. It's hilarious."

"Well, maybe, we could watch it together sometime?" He gives a great idea.

"Sounds awesome." I say

"Cool, it's a date." He says chuckling.

"Cam, she wants you." Shawn says putting his hand to the phone.
"Dude, shut up." Cameron responds punching Shawn in the arm.
"Helloooo..." Cam says and I can hear Brooklyn screaming through the phone.

"So, what is your favorite song of mine?" Shawn asks.

"Aftertaste. No doubt."

"Cool, so that'll be the song I sing you for your birthday." He describes and I feel small tingles in my skin just imagining that.

"Shawn, you're awesome!" I yell and wrap my arms around him.

"And you're not?" He asks surprised.

"No, I'm nothing special."

"Sage, you're special. Trust me." He says and takes my hand in his when Cameron hands me my phone.
