The Mall

"Guys, guess what?" I run up to Shawn and Cameron and jump into their arms.

"What?" They ask simultaneously.

"I just made a new friend!"

"That's great," Shawn says, "what's her name?"

"Ashley Beckham," I answer.

Cameron then looks to the floor, now looking disappointed for some reason.

"Cameron, what's wrong?" I ask.

"I dated Ashley for a year and it was great. Until I broke up with her because we were complete opposites. Also, I took her to a Magcon conference in Massachusetts, and she flirted with Aaron in front of my face. So when we got back here, I ended it between us."

"Oh, sorry. Do you guys get along now?"

"We don't talk a lot really. Only if necessary. How did you meet her?"

"We ran into each other in the hall since I was running, and she said we had choir together. We walked there together and she's pretty nice." I explain, while Shawn stands there looking hungry as ever.

"Cool, maybe we could all hangout together after school," he brings in a idea that isn't as awkward as that conversation.

"You wouldn't mind?" Shawn asks all of a sudden.

"No, plus, I'll be with you the whole time." Cameron says, looking at me with a seductive face and scowl.

I act surprised but this is similar to what happened yesterday at Shawn's house. When Shawn took my hand, but this time, the flirting has switched between roles.

"Okay, lets go eat!" Shawn insists upon us so we all head to the cafeteria.

Lunch was okay, if you prefer square pizza burnt to the crust.

But just like Cameron suggested, we're all going to the mall. Shawn's driving so when I invited Ashley, she insisted she sat in the front. I agreed because we don't want any small arguments brewing, so I'm in the back with Cameron.

I'm patiently waiting for us to get there and Ashley turns her body to me from the front.

"Sage, what are we gonna do at the mall?"

"I don't know, walk around, shop probably."

"I know, just bored waiting."

"Me too, see there it is," I point out the window to the mall and she suddenly can't sit still in the passenger seat.

Shawn found the best parking spot up front so it didn't take long for me and Ashley to burst through the door with our wallets.

"Okay, where to first?" Cameron asks us when we get all huddled up.

"How about Pac Sun?" Shawn asks.
"I'm hungry," I mention rubbing my stomach, "how about the food court first."

"Sounds good, how about Subway?" I ask.

"Awesome! Let's go." Ashley says, leading the way.

As we're walking past Forever 21, a hot guy checks me out. So, I smile at him. I then notice Shawn giving him a dirty look. What is that all about?

As I'm about to get up and throw away my trash, Shawn takes my food tray and says, "No, I'll do it. I insist."

"Okay, thanks." I reply.

I have a feeling he likes me, I hope, because do I like him?

While I have that thought in my head, Ashley waves at me to get up.

"Okay. Let's spilt up. Me and Sage will go to Victoria's Secret, and you guys go to a men's store or something," Ashley suggests laughing.

"Actually, can we come with you?" Cameron asks practically begging.

"Omg, no!" I yell.

"Please???" They're on their knees now and we can't help but laugh our asses off.

"Okay, okay, you can come." We finally give in and agree to their plead.

We start walking towards Victoria's Secret when Shawn grabs my hand and leaves Cameron behind with Ashley. But they're surprisingly getting along.

"Sage, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Shawn, what?"

"Will you marry me?" He asks with a smirk.

"EXCUSE YOU!?" I ask freaked out and happy as hell.

"I'm kidding." He admits while I stand there shocked.

"I really wanted to ask if you would go out with me?" I sigh when I look at those puppy eyes that make me want to faint.
This is so much better than the Shawn poster in my room, I think to myself.

"I would love to go out with you." I reply still happy as hell.

"Great." He says with an award winning smile.

After emptying our wallets, the whole group walk out the mall doors. I do especially look like a boss because of my sexy new sunglasses and having my head held high.

We all head to Shawn's car and Shawn suddenly runs up to me, pecks a kiss on my cheek, and takes my bags. He then opens the trunk of his Ferrari and puts our bags in.

"How are you sweet? Really?" I ask as he's opening the car door.

"Well, I'm only really nice to girls I enjoy being with and really like. So that explains it."

"You're amazing, Shawn." I tell him.

"Not as much as your eyes, watch your head." He instructs as I climb in.

Shawn turns the key in the ignition and as we drive, I can't get me and Shawn's date off my mind.
