After a week or two, the fridge was running low on food and drinks, so I went to the store to get what I needed.

It was pouring rain and I groaned, nevertheless I need food and to eat, so I went shopping.

Once I finished and put everything in the truck, I was about to go home, but decided I should pay the Mikaelson family a visit.

As I arrived, I felt as if someone was watching me, so I looked around under my hood.

I knock on the door, on the porch, breathing on my hands to warm them up. When there was no response, I began to turn around, ready to go home.

The door opened as I turned, so I stopped and faced the person inside the house.

"Hi, Elijah. I'm sorry that I just showed up, but I was hoping to ask you something," I said rubbing my hands together.

"Of course, come in," he said opening the door wider.

Once I walked in, I pulled my hood back and stared in amazement at the house. Holy crap!

"So, I was wondering if you could help me. You don't have to of course, but I really-"

"Go on," he said with a slight smile as I rambled.

"My brother, Jackson and pretty much everyone else I know have disappeared, and I was wondering if you could help me find them."

"When did they first disappear?"

"The morning after I arrived," I said playing with my hands. "Elijah, I'm freaking out. I have no idea where they are. Jack and Olly wouldn't just leave without saying anything."

"It's okay, I'll help you find them. I give you my word," he replied putting his hands on my shoulders.

I nodded and we were about to go to the living room, but a girl came walking downstairs in her pjs.

She stopped talking when she saw me and I immediately felt weird. After introducing myself, I excused myself saying I have groceries in the car-which is not a lie.

So I drove all the way out into the woods, seeing someone standing on the porch.

"Can I help you?" I asked stepping out of my truck, grabbing the bags.

"Jessica, right?" The man said turning around.

"Klaus? What are you doing here?" I asked walking inside placing the bags on the counter.

"To help you. I believe we should get a drink tonight," he replied with a smirk.

"Sorry, I would, but I don't want to. Besides I have more important things to do," I said crossing my arms.

It was like I was in a trance or something, because the next thing I knew was I was at a party with the devil himself.

We danced, talked, and obviously drank until I couldn't walk. He helped me into the back of a taxi and we drove to his house.

"K-k-k-Klaus, n-n-n-no. T-take m-me h-home," I said falling out of the car when he opened it.

He ignored me and carried me inside, laying me on the couch. After placing medicine and water on the table, he threw a blanket over me.

The next morning, I had a huge hangover. After taking the medicine that was left on the table, I stood up.

Looking around, I see I'm back in the Mikaelson Manner. Walking to the mirror, I see I don't look that bad considering how crappy I feel.

When I hear footsteps behind me, I whip around and see Elijah. Crap.

"You were out with my brother?"

"I guess. I don't really remember last night. The last thing I do is telling him that I didn't want to go out."

"I see. Well, my apologies for that. Niklaus has a tendency to have people forget things," he said vaguely.

"Okay, well I'm embarrassed and am disgusting, so I'm going to go," I said walking to the door.

"Perhaps, I should drive you," Elijah said grabbing his keys. "You wouldn't want to walk home, would you?"

"Thank you."

The beginning of the car ride was silent and I was hoping that he wouldn't bring up Jack, but I was wrong in that department.

"So, I will help you did your brother. I gave you my word and I always stick to it. No matter the cost."

"Thank you, Elijah. You have no idea how much it means to me."

"Well, I didn't get the chance to help you yesterday, perhaps I could be more of use today," he said pulling up to the cabin.

"Of course."

We got out and walked to the door, when he stopped. I looked at him questioningly.

He replied that he wouldn't want to just make himself at home, but that it would be more polite for him to ask.

Once he stepped inside, closing the door, we began to talk. Not long after, there was a knock on the door and I answered.

Not one word was able to come from my mouth because I was flung into a wall, hitting my side against a shelf. As I landed, everything else did to...on top of me.

"Elijah, dear. We need to talk," the women said as I began to see spots.

"Celeste," was the last thing I heard before my eyes betrayed me, closing themselves.
