It's been two weeks since the incident with Olly, and I've locked myself in my room, avoiding the world. Of course people have come to check on me, but they couldn't get in.
Although I've locked the door and they could've easily kicked it open, they didn't. Everyday Elijah leaves a blood bag just outside my door, however I leave it there.
When I could barely handle my hunger, I decided to come out of hiding and go downstairs. Luckily for me, no ones here so I get the place to myself.
There was a trail of blood bags leading to the study because I've been too careless to clean them up. As I look around the room, I smile a little. The books, the history on the shelves.
It could've been so different up close, to actual witness or be apart of it. My hands lingered on the books as I walked passed them. Leaving the room, something caught my eye. A chest.
Although I knew i shouldn't look, I did anyways sitting on my knees as I hesitantly opened it. Papers and journals were overflowing the thing.
After looking around for a couple minutes, I decided to not look any further in case someone*cough* Klaus *cough* overreacts.
When I walk out of the study, I hear some foot steps running in the quarter. Looking over the balcony, I see Nik carrying Hayley, with Elijah coming in after them.
"Get Davina," I said racing to Hayley's side. "Now!"
Klaus grabs his phone, calling Marcel as Elijah watched me carefully. I very slowly, moved her arm and saw some blood there.
"Elijah, get me some towels. Klaus, a pillow," I said removing my jacket. They didn't move and I grew angry. "Now! Or else she will die!"
They instantly moved hearing that, getting me what I needed to try to save Hayley.
"Marcel hasn't heard from Davina. He doesn't know where she is," Klaus explained when he got back.
"Then find her. Hayley is on the other side, and by the looks of her body, in a fight. If she dies there, we all know she won't come back," I hurried wiping her blood.
"I'll get the witch-"
"Klaus, don't hurt her. Just tell her about Hayley's state," I said looking up at him.
He groaned but did as I said rushing off to get the teenage girl. Elijah stood by me, waiting for a command as I continued to work on Hayley.
"Elijah, tilt her head back," I said.
"Why?" He asked moving to her head.
"Just do it," I commanded.
He did so and I felt for a pulse. It was very faint and I began to work faster, growing scared with each movement.
Klaus came back with Davina and she set up a circle, only allowing me to be in it. We all heard movement from outside, and Klaus held Jack back as Elijah started to advance on Olly.
"I need your hand," Davina said reaching hers out.
She cut my hand, having my blood fall into Hayley's mouth. Davina began an incantation as I held Hayley's hand, having to be the life to bring her back.
After minutes of the spell with no response, Davina began a new one that caused me to scream from the pain. She needed me and my life to save Hayley's, so she's binding us together.
With my blood in her system, she should wake at any moment. All of a sudden, Hayley jolted awake and I collapsed to the ground, catching my breath.
Davina said we would no longer be linked once my blood was out of her system. As we looked back towards the men, we saw Jackson and Klaus sighing in relief as Elijah and Olly beat the crap out of each other.
Davina used her magic to give them brain aneurisms and they fell to the ground groaning and clutching their heads.
I sped to Elijah's side, as Olly stood up now fine. He looked at me sadly then knew he had to leave before I killed him.
"Thank you," I told Davina after a couple hours and she was leaving.
"I think that I should be thanking you, without your help-"
"Hey, you and I, will always be a team," I smiled going her a hug.
She left after that and I began heading back to my cave. Before I could get there, Hayley came to me with a grateful look on her face.
"Thank you, for risking your life to save me," she said.
"Any time," I laughed.
Klaus came to both of us, causing Hayley to excuse herself as Nik stood with his hands behind his back.
"I know you've been having nightmares about the time you've been away," he started slowly.
"Klaus, I promise you I'm fine."
"You don't always have to be the tough guy, you know that? If you ever need to talk, I'm here," he said before heading off to bed.
As I was about to open my door, I decided to instead go talk to Elijah. I walked right in, not bothering to knock, which I should've done.
Elijah was just taking off his shirt when I barged in. "Sorry," I apologized.
"It's okay," he laughed.
I walked to his bed and sat down as he stood, eyes following my every move.
"I, uh, never got to thank you," I began, slowly getting comfortable. "For comforting me a couple weeks ago, and protecting me tonight."
"It was my pleasure, I assure you," he smiled.
"When we first met, why did you insist to help me?" I asked.
"You needed it."
"But why me? I'm sure this entire city gets hurt on a daily basis and you chose to help me. Why?"
"Your family is full of werewolves, but you were human. Not a trace of the curse in you. How?"
"I was adopted. In a way, Hayley and I are extremely similar. Except, my parents abandoned me, they didn't die," I said.
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"I'm not. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have grown up with amazing people."
"Who've betrayed you," Elijah added on.
"Everyone's betrayed at some point in their life, besides it's not like I'm talking to him."
There was a moment of silence before I realized I should get going. As I got to the door, Elijah spoke.
"Training tomorrow?" He questioned.
"Where else would I be?" I joked then left with a smile on my face.
