It was 5:27 in the morning and Owen was due in 2 minutes to swap out his BMW for the Jeep and we were off to do an Academy Job. I heard the crunch of gravel as a grey car pulled around the bend. It stopped in front of the house and Owen stepped out; right on time, straightening out his suit jacket.

"Are you read to go Mr. Taylor?" He asked me.

I nodded at him, walking towards the jeep. I got in the driver seat knowing that there was going to be a talk about yesterday.

Owen got in and I pulled out of the drive and followed his instructions of going right. We drove in silence before he spoke up.

"I'm going to need to know the details of last night when you and Miss Sorenson disappeared for a while." He told me.

I grunted, not wanting to share the moments of Sang and I's private vacation to our flower oasis, but knowing I had to tell Owen.

"Well we kept getting interrupted, even after I requested time to have her by myself." I told him, hoping that would be enough, but knowing he wouldn't be satisfied until I had dished out all the pieces.

"That is to be expected, with ten on a team, and only one bird. You're not the only one who has been captured by Miss Sorenson." He said bluntly.

Captured was one way of explaining it.

I scoffed, glancing at him sideways. "Well if anyone else had done it I would have-" He cut me off.

"You would have done the same as your brothers did. I distinctly remember someone abusing the call buttons when Mr. Korba had our bird, don't you." I reminded me of when I zapped Silas's phone when he and Sang where getting out of line.

That bastard, he spends too much time with us. He knew what he was doing.

"And then what Mr. Taylor?" He prompted.

"Then I had Sang change, and packed up supplies and took her to the clearing." I told him.

"I'm sorry but I am going to need some more detail than that for a full report."

He didn't sound sorry.

"I had her put on appropriate clothes, and packed food, a blanket, and the stereo that runs on batteries."

"Turn left ahead." He directed

"Then we get on the bike and went to the clearing." I told him

"The clearing off of Drew Street?" He asked.

"Yeah, the one we mowed down. She loved it." I said, grinning at the memory of how beautiful she looked in that moment. Her eyes trying to capture everything and the little space between her lips as she almost gasped in awe. Sang standing there covered in the black leather jacket and entranced by the colors. Well, she was beautiful.

"Mm-hmm" Mr. Blackbourne cleared his throat. Oh, right.

"Then we ate, and she..." I trailed off, remembering the next part and being partially embarrassed.

"Yes, Mr. Taylor?" Owen prompted me.

"Well then we rested, and Sang made crowns an-"

"What do you mean by crowns?" He asked, interrupting me again.

"We'll she wove flowers together and make a circle or something, I don't know." I mumbled out, not planning on telling him that she made both of us crowns. "Then we listened to the radio and danced a little bit. Then it got late and we went home. The story ends there." I finished for him, hoping that he was happy with that and wouldn't prod me for more.

"Was anything said that would be significant?" He asked, of course not satisfied yet.

Was anything significant said? Not really. We didn't talk much.

I didn't tell her how I loved how fierce she looked in her boots and jacket that complimented mine.

I didn't tell her how I loved the feeling I got when she wrapped up behind me on the bike and clenched my shirt a little tighter when we went over a bump, or around a turn.

Not how I loved the glow on her cheeks when she stepped out from under the trees into the field.

Or how I loved the sound of her giggle when she presented me my crown.

I never once mentioned how I loved how she sank into me while we danced.

And she never asked how much I loved how her lips tasted like the melons we had eaten earlier.

Or if I loved the weight of her head on my back on the ride home.

And she probably never even guessed that I loved her crowns enough that I pulled both of them from the bag and hung them to dry in my room.

"No, nothing was said."

"Okay, turn up here; it's the fourth one on the right side. Thank you for the report Mr. Taylor." He said, sitting up straighter if that was possible.

I didn't tell her how much I loved her.

A/N: Here we go! First, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 1K READS ON LAKESIDE LOVE!!!! YOU'RE ALL AWESOME! Now, this is dedicated to Mrob1973 for guessing the song on the last chapter! (P.S. it was a Nick Cave song, and it is the same one Hermione and Harry danced to in Deathly Hallows) and also shout out to anon2404 for the advice of 'don't be referring to it as a "clearing"' so I tried to spice it up a little, but North didn't like having to say girly words, so it was only so much. I appreciate all your advice if you share it! Anyways, I thought you'd like to see my idea on how reports to Owen go and I didn't think North would have a heart to heart with anyone, so it was more of an inner confession. It's hard coming up with 9 different ideas of basically the same thing, so give me a break, there is only so many ways a teenage boy can admit feelings for a girl. Anyhow, 3 books down, 7 to go! I said Luke's first chapter should be up by Monday at the latest, but I'm revising it to Wednesday at the latest, but it should (should!) be completed by next weekend. Wow, I always write such long author notes! Okay last, but not least, comment if you guys want me to write another Academy book; that isn't with this series. Do you like my writing? Okay I'm done now, please leave a comment and a vote. Enjoy!(: -Kait
