Chapter 8

Jasmine's POV:

I need some fresh air, all this drama is driving me nuts. I get my phone slip on my shoes and walk downstairs.

"Hey where are you going?" Julia asks me.
"I'm going out for a walk, I'll be back by dinner." I said opening the door to leave.

Julia's POV:

Poor Jas, after what happened I feel sorry for her. No one should be treated this way.
After she leaves Bobby comes up to me

"Hey where'd she go?"
"She went for a walk, poor girl needs air." I said frowning a bit walking to the couch with him following behind me.

"I don't know what to do Jules! This whole thing is driving Ryan insane, he hasn't came out of bed ever since what happened between them." He says. My eyes widened with a great idea.

"Wait a minute, I know exactly what we can do!" I said bursting out with excitement.
"What is it!"
"Okay so you guys are having a show on Saturday right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well Jasmine doesn't know that so what we can do to hopefully get them back together before that, I can pick her up and not tell her, and we can maybe have her as the chasing me girl and Ryan can try one more time!"
"Julia I think that's an awesome idea!"

"Oh this is gonna be good..." I said having an evil smirk and rubbing my hands together.

*Skipping to Saturday*

Jasmine's POV:

I'm sitting at home scrolling through the channels on TV.
"UGH! There's nothing good showing." I said groaning and throwing the remote on the couch, my life's a mess. Until my phone goes off, I check the caller ID to see its just Julia.

"Jules what's up?" I try to sound more happier even though I'm broken on the inside.
"Hey! Get ready I'm coming to pick you up to go somewhere, dress nice! Trust me you won't regret it" She said and hung up. I walk upstairs, hm..something nice, something nice, something nice, AHA!

I get out my black and white striped dress, converse and a jean jacket and head into the shower.
After I come out I get dressed and do my makeup until my curler heats up, I go with a nice winged eyeliner look with some mascara and a rosy pink lipstick. After I start curling my hair until she gets here.

*30 Minutes Later*
I just finished the last strand of hair until I hear a car honk outside, yep that's her alright. I say bye to my parents and head out.

"Hey you!" I said climbing in the front passenger seat.
"Hey, ready?" She said and I nodded.

After a while of driving we finally made it to...a venue? Who can possibly be playing tonight? Julia parks in a parking spot and grabs my hand and drags me to the door,

"C'mon! The show's about to start!"
"Okay okay, sheesh haha." I said running with her. Once we went in, the music starts blaring through the speakers which signaled the people are about to come out, and I was right, the curtains open up revealing 2 people.

"Whaddup everybody!!" They said in the microphones, followed by a bunch of these girls screaming of excitement. I let Julia go to the front when I stayed in the back of the venue.

"I'm Sam!"
"And I'm Colby! Welcome to Boys of Summer! We have a BUNCH of awesome acts gathered up for you guys tonight, such as Reed Deming, Devin Hayes, and our headlining performers the O-" And he got cut off by Sam, wait who was he supposed to announce? Hm guess we gotta wait and see.

After listening to all these great people, the lights slowly dim and I see a familiar light-up hoodie from Sovo Gear walk on stage. The lights finally turned back on revealing Ryan, the world stopped, I haven't seen him for a week.

"Hey guys!" And almost the whole venue screams.
"So the first song we're going to perform for you guys is called Chasing Me, and there's one special person that's here tonight that I want to bring up here to be the Chasing Me girl. Jasmine Scott are you here?" And I stayed quiet while he looks all around the place.
"Jasmine?" He asks into the microphone again.

The crowd starts with their chants "Jas-mine! Jas-mine!"
Julia turns around mouthing 'Go up there you have to' and I mouth back 'Sorry I can't..' I have to get out of here, I look for the nearest exit which was right next to the stage, greeeat. I run trying not to get caught but boy was I wrong,

"Hey!" He says when I stop in my tracks. I tear up a little.
"Jas, wanna be the Chasing Me girl?" He asks me. I become furious when I remembered what he has done to me, I wipe a tear and turn around and scream.
"Do I want to be the Chasing Me girl? No thanks!"
"Well. Maybe I'm wrong but, you're the most amazing girl that I've ever met.." And while the crowd starts with the 'Awe's I roll my eyes.
"That's funny! Cause last time I checked you already have met one and it wasn't me." The crowd switch from their 'Awe's to their 'Oooo's and 'Burn's.
"No it's okay, it's true. So how about you bring yourself up here and let me prove my statement." I hesitated at first until Julia comes up to me and rests a hand on my shoulder,

"C'mon you can do this, don't worry you'll be fine." And I take in a huge breath and walk up the stairs when the crowd cheers with encouragement. He makes me sit down on a chair and the music starts having Bobby come out and singing his parts to me followed by Raymond, which is then followed by Rick then Bobby again. Ryan comes out to sing his parts to me after, and while he was doing that he was always on his knee with pleading eyes and holding my hand. This time I saw something that I have never seen before. He actually meant everything he said..

*Flashback*

"Ugh what did I do? I'm such a mess I loved her so much. I gave my all to her but in the end I break her heart. She gave me a chance but I already blew it. I just wish everything was back to the way it was."

*End of Flashback*

Julia's POV:

We are finally at the venue and the boyz just finished performing. " Hey Jas I have to go to back to the car I left my portable charger." I tell her. " Oh okay, I'm gonna go sit by an outlet." I walk off but not out to the car. I quickly run up to the stairs where the performers go. " Excuse me Miss do you have the performers wristband?" The big security guard asks. " No uh I don't. I'm trying to talk to my friend." I reply. " Sorry, no friends of anyone up here. Only close family or significant others." What kind of rule is that?  " Did I say friend? I meant girlfriend. Sorry I'm used to telling people we are 'Just Friends' haha." I reply not believing even my own words. "Haha sure. Nice try now get back downstairs" The guard says. Bobby walks by and I scream trying to get his attention since this guy doesn't believe me AT ALL. "Bobby!!" I scream. Crap he didn't hear me, uh think Julia think......OH I GOT IT!! " Hey! Slim thick with your cute arse!" Bobby spins around and sees me flailing like a fish out of water. He jogs over and tells the security that I'm his girlfriend and he let me in. "Thanks boyfriend." I laugh. "No problem girlfriend." He winks. "Hey, how did you know that Fetty Wap would get my attention?" He asks. "I didn't, it was my last option haha." He laughs and grabs my hand. I flinch and he turns around looking from my hand to my eyes. Crap. "Julia.....why did you flinch?" he asks me. "N-nothing. Don't worry about it." I say trying to walk forward. He pulls me back and stands there contemplating whether he should move my sleeve. He looks at me and my eyes start tearing up. He moves my sleeve up and finds bruises and scars. I begin to cry. "Julia did you do this?"He asks. "No..." I reply. "Who did?" He says. "Some people from school..." I start to cry harder than before. He grabs me and just lets me cry in his shoulder. He pulls away and looks at me in my eyes, and moments later as if it was only the two of us....he kisses me. My first kiss, is with my best friend. I've loved him since I could remember. He knew that I was waiting for one special person, He knew that person was him.
