Chapter 5

Julia's POV:

After Ryan leaves I go to the kitchen to make some lunch but before I start Bobby comes in.
"Hey you." I say giggling.
"Hi, makin' food?" He asks curious.
"Yeah I'm starving!"
"Come on let's go out to eat." He suggests grabbing my hand and taking me to his car.

While driving both of us are wondering where to eat then I found it,

"Hey! How about Chipotle?"
"Okay!" He says pulling up to the parking lot, coming to my side to open my door for me,

"Wow, what a gentleman.." I said rolling my eyes laughing.

"I try." He says. Did I just see him blush? Nah I'm just seeing things.

We walk into the restaurant and head towards the line ordering myself a vegetarian burrito and Bobby ordering his usual burrito bowl. After ordering we moved onto the cashier who may I add was checking me out and making me uncomfortable.

"So will that be it, beautiful?" He says winking.

"Uh yes." I said shyly. And he rounds up our total and we pay. After taking our stuff he gives me a piece of paper, I go to our table and open it up to see its his number and I sigh. Bobby notices so he gets the paper and goes to the guy and crumples it in his face.

"Do you not realize that she has a boyfriend?! Jesus!" He screams and talks to another employee asking for a bag to take our food out. He comes back furious and packs our stuff and heads out to the car.

We get in and some of the ride was filled with silence until he broke it,

"Hey um, sorry about what happened back there.." He says pulling over to the side of the road to face me.

"It's okay. I was feeling very uncomfortable with him so I have to thank you for acting like my boyfriend." I say smiling a little.

"Oh, hah about that, I was actually thinking if we could- uh maybe um-"

"If we could what?" I asked being curious.

"Uh never mind, come on let's get home." He replies pulling into the road again.

Jasmine's POV:

Well, this has been a very interesting day. I almost got raped (which still makes me cringe) and I'm going on a date with Ryan Friday night.

Just a little update with my sister's party: we're currently eating dinner and having a chit chat with my mother.

"Hey Jazzy, where's Mason? I haven't seen him around very much lately.." My mom said pouring herself a plate of lasagna.

"Oh um. He broke up with me." I said almost tearing up. I take a deep breath and continue with the conversation.

"Oh honey I'm so sorry, that b-" She almost cursed so I cover my sister's ears.

"Mom!! Language!" I said gasping.

"Sorry again, that guy didn't deserve you!" She said getting mad at him.

After eating we talked a bit more until cake and gifts time.

"Sweetie can you go upstairs to bring down Lei's gifts?"

"Yeah sure, Ry wanna come help?" I said heading towards the stairs. And having him following me up.

"Okay I'll take these and you can take the rest" I said picking up half the gifts

"Okay" He says smiling and coming to pick up the other half. We walk out to get greeted by my dog.

"Jesus Arlo you almost made me drop these you little nugget." I said scratching the back of his ears where he loves.

"Really Jas? Arlo?" Ryan says crossing his arms and rolling his eyes laughing.

"What? It's a cute name, you should be happy I named it after your brother's character in The Good Dinosaur." I said laughing along with him.

"Okay fine haha." And we head downstairs.

*After the gifts*

Well the party's still going on, my sister got a new scooter, her favorite book, and a bunch of other stuff. Ryan runs up to me out of breath and says,

"I gotta go home, thanks for everything. Tell Leilani I said Happy Birthday."
"Really? This early? okay." I said kinda frowning.
"Hey don't worry I'll see you Friday for our date." He said giving me a quick hug and running out.

What has gotten into him?
