"Eren," Levi blushed, looking down at his feet.

"What is it babe?" I asked, walking up to him and wrapping my arms around him. I don't know why I was doing these things, however I didn't seem to be in control of my actions.

"Do you love me? Eren." He looked up at me, his eyes wide and hopeful, his tail wrapping around his leg nervously.

"Yes." I smiled, bringing my hand up to his face and brought it closer to my own.

"Eren!" I woke with a jolt, falling off the couch with an incredibly manly shriek.

"Jesus shit you fall asleep fast. We're out of food, and you mentioned going somewhere to show me the town earlier. Do you want to?" Levi leant against the wall by the fridge casually.

Did he just ask me out? I blushed, shoving my face further into the carpet.

"Are you going to answer me or are you just going to lay there forever?" He said pointedly. What do I say? Do I mention the fact that he basically asked me out? But I basically asked him out this morning. Oh my god Eren you fucktard just say something already!

That's it. New achievement unlocked: New Low, Arguing With Yourself Whilst Laying Face Down On The Carpet.

"Is that a date proposal?" I asked. Shit I should've said something else. He clicked his tongue.

"If you want it to be. However I really need an answer now before my stomach implodes on itself."

I sighed, my face red. He didn't deny the date proposal. He didn't fucking deny that we were going on a date oh my god what do I do. Chill. That's what I do.

When did I become a damn schoolgirl?

I sat up, gracefully hitting my head on the coffee table, falling again due to the impact.

"It's forbidden Levi. I can't get up, it's not allowed." I groaned. I heard him open the refrigerator, followed by his footsteps and a cold sensation on the part of my head that was so cruelly smashed against a table.

I sat up, meeting his condescending stare.

"Once again, being taken care of by you." I glared.

"Hey it's your fault for being so damned clumsy that I have to take care of you." He rolled his eyes, "don't go around getting concussions now, we only have one ice pack."

"Wow, so charming." I smiled, chuckling slightly. I could've sworn I saw his mouth quirk up in the slightest bit, but that would be quite out of character for him.

"Alright, and where shall we go on our lovely adventure around the city?" I mused, leaning my head against the couch's cushions.

"I'd hardly call it an adventure around the city. More like an adventure to somewhere incredibly cheap and within a thirty minute radius of here." His tail flicked back and forth slightly. He's very impatient when it comes to food and already becoming visibly annoyed.

"Alright," I thought of all the places we could go fitting his very specific criteria. "There's Taco Bell,"

"No no, restaurants. Not fast food crap."

I felt the life drain from me instantly.

"Levi, how could you?" I held a hand over my heart, feigning pain.

"How could I what? Want to eat a real dinner with you?" He tilted his head, raising a thin eyebrow. I blushed.

"Not that, how could you not like Taco Bell?"

He rolled his eyes.

"You act as if you don't know how incredibly greasy and unhealthy the food is. And," he grew quieter. "Last time you," was the only audible utter from his mouth.

"What was that?" I asked, a smile growing on my face.

"Nothing. Fuck off. Hurry up and pick somewhere." he glared, the smallest hint of a blush dusting his cheeks. Damn that was cute.

"Okay, well, there's a deli down the street a bit," I was cut off by him rising and grabbing my hand, pulling me up and dragging me out the door all the while grabbing two coats and his key.

"Sounds great."

We were out the door and down the street in the blink of an eye, speed-walking towards the part of town where all the small businesses were.  I smiled, looking down at my short companion, his beanie hiding his ears and his tail presumably wrapped around him under his loose black shirt.

I was going on a date with him. Not officially but close enough. We were doing something casual together, and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

As the sun got lower in the sky the temperatures dropped and we made it to the deli. I won't go into too much detail about the food, I'm no food blogger. It was good and filled Levi, which was really all that mattered. Putting on his coat, Levi looked outside at the sunset. It was a beautiful purple, contrasting shades painted the sky. His pupils dilated into thick ovals.

"It's really beautiful up here, you know. We never got much of a view where I'm from," he commented, his facial features softening. I couldn't bring myself to look at anything else except his immense beauty.

"Yeah, the view really is great. Especially from where I'm standing." I said softly, not paying attention to my words, only him.

"You don't have to constantly bring up the height thing you," he trailed off, looking at me and realizing I was staring at him. "O-oh."

His ears turned a bright red as he looked down, covering bits of his face.

"We should get home soon. It'll get dark and when it does it tends to be dangerous." he rushed out, grabbing my hand again and leaving, though this time not letting go until we were standing on the sidewalk outside our home.

NEW BOOK NEWS

I'm working on a new book (obviously Riren lmao what else would it be) and I was wondering if you guys would want to read it? I have the prompt/teaser here.

Coming home from college was always shit. You find everything changed dramatically around you, your friends all living their own lives in various locations, new and old. Everything so different yet incredibly the same. The park still with that rusted creaky swing and broken slide, the coffee shop on the corner of South J Street still running in its old hipster blog fashion. The places so unchanged now inhabited by new faces still fresh and full of life. While you were gone, a whole new way of life came to this old town. However Levi Ackerman was thankful for the change of residents, his rather terrible past swept clean from the streets only to be known in his mind and the memories of people who knew him. Dropping out of college mid-term would just make the situation that much worse if there were people here that knew him, people that would judge him and say that they knew he couldn't do it. What a waste of inheritance money, they'd say. As much as Levi didn't want to stay here, he couldn't leave. For some weird reason he was attached to this place in a way. He ran to his uncle when his parents died at his young age of 6, fending for himself at 15 on when his uncle died drunk in a car crash. He had memories here, it was the only place he could really call home, after all he had raised himself here. Rumors spread like wildfire when Kenny died, rumors about the accident, the scars on his neck, why he never talked after that. He was in college for a whopping two years and even though the time was short the majority of the town had either moved, died, or forgot. At least he hoped they forgot. After a stressful week of avoiding social contact of any kind, he went to the only quiet place that never seemed to change. The little coffee shop, on the corner of South J Street, where he was once again reunited with the same Caribbean eyes that acted as his muse for so long, on a foggy morning over a simple cup of Earl Grey tea.

what do you guys think? Should I actually carry on with it?

Thanks again for waiting so long for an update, finals are coming up and everything's been hectic. Also, 6.1k reads? That's awesome, thanks so much for reading!
