"Holy fucking mother of titans that shit's hot!" Eren's loud voice resounded from the kitchen. I groaned and turned over on the couch, not in the mood for nonsense. Besides I knew what was wrong as he made the same mistake nearly every morning. He'd make his breakfast which usually consisted of slightly burnt toast and a granola bar, and he'd eat that while brewing his coffee. When he was done eating he'd pour his coffee into a thermos and set out the tea bags and such on the counter seeing as I can't reach it myself. If you knew what was good for you, you wouldn't say anything about my shortness. Anyways, his coffee would still be too hot for his sensitive mouth, and sometimes he would forget that which leads him to burning his tongue. That's about the time I wake up to his oh so melodious shrieks and dying whale noises. After that, I'd have to walk all the way over to the kitchen and lecture him about waking me up at 5:00 in the morning, then moving on to the subject of his tendency of wounding his tastebuds. Of course he'd pout, so I'd give him an ice cube to suck on and send him off on his merry little way to his damned morning classes. Of course I'd be past the point of sleeping, so I'd make my tea and read a book, or sketch something maybe. Not that Eren knows I draw, I'm not sure why but I have a feeling he'd be one of those people who gush over their friends' art. It's only logical I don't tell him.

As you can tell, it's all a big process and I really don't feel like dealing with it right now. Of course his helpless whimpers strike something in my chest and I'm forced to help him. Shitty brat can't even manage to drink something without getting hurt, though as much as I'd like to brush it off and go back to sleep I can't. He's convincing in his own helpless, adorable way. I hate to admit it but it's true, I care about him. That's a scary thought isn't it?

I got up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes, drowsily stumbling down the hall and around a corner into the small, white tiled kitchen. Sighing, I walked up to Eren, noticing small shards of glass on the floor in front of him.

"What'd you do, Jeager?" I said tiredly, in a small worn out voice. I looked down at his hands, blood seeping out of a smallish gash on his thumb. The handle of my favorite mug was still tightly in his hand, the rest a shattered mess on the floor.

"I-I'm so sorry Levi. I just thought it'd be a good idea to make your tea for you because you always do so much for me and I never do anything in return. You're always around cleaning and cooking and making sure I'm okay even when you were sleeping or busy and if I make a mistake you're always there to fix it and all I do is sit around doing my work or I go out with friends and you-" I cut him off with a finger to his lips.

"You do enough for me." I bent down, picking up the larger shards and setting them on the counter. Before I could move another muscle, Eren had my wrists in his hands, holding me in place.

"Really? Name one thing I've done to help you." A determined look crossed his face, his beautiful green eyes narrowing. I rolled my eyes.

"Seriously brat? You saved me off the streets, you healed up my wounds and gave me food. You cared for me when everyone pushed me aside and mistreated me because of my species. You cared, and don't you dare disagree because if it weren't for you I'd be fucking dead." I glared, my pupils moving into slits. He looked astonished.

"Levi, I," he trailed off, looking at me with wide eyes. The corners of my lips turned up in the slightest smile, only visible if you were really paying attention. He pulled me into a tight hug, and I had no choice but to hug him back.

When he finally let me go, I cleaned up all the remaining glass, putting it in a separate plastic bag before placing it in the trash can.

"See, you did it again. You cleaned up my mess and-" I cut him off before he could ramble on even more.

"Hush. Now let me see your hand." I motioned to the hand he had wrapped in a towel. The parts around his thumb were stained a slight red. I took his hand, unwrapping the towel and lifting his wounded thumb to where I could see the actual extent of the injury. It wasn't too bad and it would probably heal completely in less than a month. I knew it'd need to be cleaned but sadly we were out of hydrogen peroxide, so I'd have to do it myself. I lifted his hand to my mouth and began licking the wounded area. His face immediately turned beet red. When I was finished cleaning the area, I grabbed a bandage and applied it to his finger.

"Now go, I don't want you to be late to your stupid classes." I said, shooing him towards the door, where he stopped and turned around, once again capturing my wrists on his grip. It was firm, yet gentle, which was strange.

"I can just skip today. We can go hang out and eat and stuff and I can show you around town! It'll be fun!" His eyes sparkled. Cute.

"Sorry, but I think your education is more important than an alleycat," I rolled my eyes, pushing him towards the doorway again.

"But Leviiiiii~" he whined.

"Don't 'Levi~' me. You need to go to class and that's final. Got it?" I said stubbornly. It's not like I don't want to do all that stuff with Eren, it's just that I don't necessarily think that I'm worth Eren missing school.

He nodded, pouting. I stopped pushing him and leaned against the back of the couch. As he opened the door he looked back at me and smiled brightly, waving. I waved back and as he exited the apartment I let me hand fall to my side, and looked fondly at his figure that I could still see out the window.

"Have a good day, Eren."

I did it! Yes another filler chapter. Also the teacup incident relived. Yeah. I just wasn't in the angsty mood and that's what I'm working on. I honestly tried but I literally failed so hard it was painful. Perfectionist problems. So yeah I wasted an hour trying to write a serious chapter only to delete it and whip out this baby in thirty minutes. Oh well. Happy new chapter.
