Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

Athena's POV

1 year 4 months 2 weeks and 4days since I left the kingdom. The kingdom of the creator of all life. I've been banished and not to return until I become a better person. I miss my family and my REAL friends. Demi is the first person that opened up to me and believed me when I told her I wasn't from here. It's hard though, to become good again with her as a "friend". She's the baddest girl on campus. People don't mess with her. I walk into the hallway and see the "Terba group". I quickly make my way to my locker. I turn around to see Justin in my face.

"Hey Athena." I walk away.

"Hi." I say quietly.

"Whats wrong?"

"Nothing. Please leave me alone."

"Aright, just one more thing."

"And what is that?"

"... We know your secret." He whispers into my ear, it sends shivers down my spine. I stop dead in my tracks and turn to face him.

"What?"

"I said we kno-"

"Yeah I got that. I meant what secret?"

"You know that one, where you aren't from here, your from up there, You are a creature that isnt meant to be here. you don't belong here!"

"That's enough Justin!" I suddenly hear Logan from behind Justin. (He's part of the group). I feel tears brimming in my eyes. I started to push everyone out of the way and stood outside the school doors. I sobbed until I felt a warm hand grab my arm. I turned stunned, for it was Logan.

"Are you okay?"

"No..."

"I'm sorry."

"Who told you guys this?"

"Demi." I began to sob again because I opened up to her and trusted her and she broke her promise. I can't believe her, actually I can because I saw this coming but I HAD to tell her because I wanted a friend. And of course she'd tell them because she's had a crush on Beck since forever.

"Hey, it's okay. Sometimes to tell people makes things better, so wanna tell me what creature you are?" He said smiling. I couldn't help it and if I didn't show him now, he wouldn't be able to stop bothering me.

"Fine." I pulled his hand and took him into an alleyway near the school. I told him wear to stand and then I stood In front of him a little further away. Then I took of my jacket and they came out. The useless wings. I think he was in shock because he didn't say anything. Then he said,

"Can you fly?"

"No"

"Why?"

"Because he took the power away from my wings until I was able to return."

"He? Return?"

"Yes, God. And I was banished from his kingdom until I became good again."

"He exists? For real?"

"Of course."

"Wow."

"Yeah, well we better get going. Don't wanna be late." I put my jacket back on and they disappeared." I was about to walk back but then Logan grabbed my arm. We ended up in a position of him holding my shoulders I looked up at him.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For what?! Sharing that with me!"

"Your welcome." He looked deep into my almost like searching for something and I did the same. I unleashed from his hold and walked away smiling. Only turning around once to see him smiling and a black shadow following behind.
