Mr and Mrs Warner

It was Monday morning and I had to get ready for school Rose had returned the previous evening and I told her everything that had happened right from the fight to the time we played with water.

She was so shocked she did have words to say.

We went to school and the same old things took place. When school was over Rose told she'll be staying back for a little longer since she had some work with the teachers as she was a part of the school counsel. She told me to take the car and go since she wanted to walk back home. I took the car and offered to drop few of my friends home. After dropping everyone at their homes I reached home. I parked and car and went to the door and digged into my bag for the keys. After finding it I put it in the key hole to open it but it was already open.

Did I not lock the house?

But I clearly remember locking it.

I pushed the open and saw Mr and Mrs Warner sitting on the sofa each having a cup of tea in their hand.

How did they enter.

" oh hello dear " Mrs Warner greeted on seeing me.

" hello Mercy and hello Mr Warner " I said confused.

" don't worry Anna I'm home" Rose said from the kitchen knowing exactly what I was thinking.

What is Anna doing here? 

I thought she'd come home late.

"We are here to talk to you Anna " Mr Warner said his voice gruff and stern.

"Is everything alright? " I asked worried.

" oh yeah dear its about Ace. We came to thank you. " Mrs Warner replied making me shift my gaze to her.

"Sorry??? " I asked sitting down opposite to them.

"Yes dear we are here to thank you. Ace has always been a spoilt and pampered child from the start but he became worse after his breakup with his girlfriend. We lost hopes of him becoming a responsible person but now he's changing and its because of you Anna." Mr Warner said smiling.

" yes he now wants to go for cooking classes. He likes to wash his car. Before he never bothered to keep his plate in the kitchen after eating but now he not only keeps it but sometimes washes it himself, says things shouldn't be left unfinished. He's being good to the servants and he doesn't get drunk so often like before." Mrs Warner said her eyes tearing up with happiness at the change in behavior of her son.

"Seriously he has changed that much? Oh my god.  But he is not bad after all. But I'm glad he's becoming a responsible person  and as a friend I'll do anything to make him change. He only has awful mood swings  and anger issues which sometimes creeps the shit out of me. I guess I need to work on that." And after I completed telling that all of us burst into laughter.

" I guess you are the only person who has the nerve to confront him and order him to do something. " Mrs Warner says.

"Well its a daring task though." I say making them chuckle a bit.

"OK then we gotta go. It was nice meeting you. You are truly a genuine person who talks what you think and I guess that's what has made Ace listen to you. Thanks for whatever you have done. Take care and if he troubles you then just inform me I'll take care of him" Mr Warner said patting my back and they both left.

After they left there was one thought in my mind.

Ace had a girlfriend?

And they broke up?

But why didn't he tell me about it?

Why did they breakup?

With all these questions in my mind I went to my room to sleep.
