Meaning of friendship

The next few days passed and I ignored Ace.

He called me up but I didn't answer he messaged me but I didn't reply.

He tried peeping from his window but I would close mine and pull the curtains.

I would leave home early and reach home late so whenever he came home Rose would tell I was not at home.

I felt bad really bad but I needed answers from him which he was not ready to tell me.

He didn't trust me and so he preferred to keep it to himself.

It was Friday evening and I went to the grocery store to buy a can of juice. After buying it I opened it and started walking back home sipping it slowly.

Suddenly someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. I was about to scream but a large, I mean it, extra large hand covered my mouth. I looked up at the person to see it was Ace.

"What's the problem with you?" he said letting go of his hand from my mouth. He looked irritated and anger was slowly rising in him.

"Let go of me" I said trying to change the topic. But he didn't in fact his grip became tighter.

"Ace you are hurting me. Let go of me" I said now scared of him because he was angry and his teeth were clenched together.

He let go of me once he saw that he was really hurting me.

"I need answers Anna. We need to talk. I thought things were fine between us." He said.

"and so do I Ace. Let's go to the park."I said not even looking at him.

We walked to the park and sat down on a stone chair at the corner most so that we get our privacy.

"Why are you ignoring me Anna? I thought were friends" he said finally as though he was waiting to talk to me.

"Friends? Do you even know what that means? It means trust. T.R.U.S.T. It means no secret. In a friendship the other person knows everything about you and vice versa. This is what friendship means. But here you don't trust me enough. I don't know a single thing about you. You are always so secretive and closed up. Just when I thought I'm getting to know you that's when I get to know you had a past. A girlfriend, which you never thought of sharing it with me and now you tell we are friends in which angle Ace?" I said looking at him.

When I mentioned about his past I saw His expression change. Though he wasn't looking at me he was looking down I saw it and  it didn't seem good. There was a mixture of sadness anger frustration all in that one expression. I waited for him to answer but when he didn't I got up to leave.

"Forget it dude I was an idiot to think I can probably be friends with you and change you. Thanks for proving me wrong" I said getting up to leave but I stopped when I heard his voice.

"What do you wanna know? My past? Then listen" he said.

I turned around and saw that he wasn't looking at me instead he was staring at the near by tree.

His gaze was intense and his hands were clenched. After all the time I have spent with him I clearly knew that when he is angry he clenches his fists.

But what is it about his past that makes him get so angry?

I get it that he went through a break up maybe that didn't end well. But so much anger that too for a break up?
