Chapter 3 Night time

Ava's POV
     After we finished eating, I was energized. I wanted to run around and do stuff. The only problem, we still couldn't find the door. There were windows that sun was coming through but when I put my hand up to the sun it had hurt. It hurt a lot. There were three floors to our house we discovered but there was not a single door to be seen that led to the outside.
     "Hey Rydian, Ava! Come here the Suns setting. It looks amazing." I looked over to Jayden and saw the sun in its beautiful glory.
     "I don't care about how pretty the sun is." Rydian said.
     "Come on Rydian lets go look at it." I looked at him with meaningful eyes.
     "Ok, whatever. I'll go look at it." He said with what looked like a hint of a grin on his face. We walked over and saw the sun casting multicolored lights across the sky. It was beautiful. The sun finally disappeared and the sky went dark with only the moon and stars to give light. I looked at the moon. I tried to look away. My body wouldn't let me. I could tell the same was happening to the other two. That's when I felt it. My blood pulsed through out me and my red eyes began to get brighter. I wanted blood, lots of it. My teeth grew longer and sharper and I could taste the blood when they sank into my own lip. My muscles tensed and I could see clearer through the night sky. My body let loose and I could move. When I looked over to Jayden and Rydian, all I saw was a giant wolf and a black cloud. The wolf looked at me with scared eyes and backed away from me. I wondered why there was a wolf when it spoke.
     "Ava! Your eyes are glowing. You have fangs. What is going on?" The wolf said.
     "Jayden? Is that you? Your a wolf!"
     "Yes it's me. I don't know why I'm a wolf but you look like a vampire." That's when we heard a sound like a sword being unsheathed.
We looked over to where Rydian was and instead of seeing the dark cloud, we saw Rydian in black armor with black arm guards. A blue shining sword was in his hands and the scariest thing about him wasn't the sword. His back had dark black wings expanded to 5 feet long on either side. He was really creepy looking. He looked at us with cold, black eyes.
"Woah, Rydian. Your totally freaky. You look like a demon. Ohh..." Jayden realized that he probably was a demon.
That's when a door suddenly appeared. There was a note on it.
Hello my creatures of the night.
You are free to run around the city, but make sure you get home before daylight.
Especially you Ava. You will die in the sunlight.
Please try not to kill to many people and if you do kill people, make sure that they are in a secluded area.
There are others like you out there. You will climb the ladder of rulership and rule your race.
     Good luck, Lucifer.
     We all looked at each other. We opened the door and saw a busy city. People were walking around from building to building and signaling taxis. We all walked around near to the house and saw the places I guessed we were supposed to go. There was a vampire club, A wolf bar, and another club for demons.
     "Lets all split up and check out our different areas." Jayden said after a moment of silence.
     We all went our different ways. I went into the vampire club and could see lots of normal people. Scattered among them were people with glowing red eyes. They were probably other vampires. On a throne type thing, I could see a man with glowing red eyes who must have been the leader of the club. I walked farther in and could see lots of men staring at me. They probably thought it was odd for a 17 year old to be in an adult club. The head vampire was also staring at me. I looked away and saw a man in front of me.
     "Hey girlie, what's a kid doing in a place like this?" He asked in a very drunk manner. I immediately didn't like him.
     "That is none of your business idiot." He didn't seem to like what I said. He craned his neck and cracked his knuckles.  I looked at his neck. Bad move. My eyes stared and my mouth began to open. I watched the blood pulse through the veins on his neck. Before I could think, my head lunged forward and I sunk my teeth deep into his neck. Blood poured from the wound and I tasted his alcohol polluted blood. It was addicting. I drank until he collapsed. People didn't stare In horror. They laughed and walked around him or over him. I felt disgusted, but I wanted more. A vampire walked over to me.
     "Is that your first time drinking blood?" He asked with a quizzical expression. I stared at him. I was afraid of what might happen if I answer. So, I lunged at him and drank his blood. He tried to fight me but I could tell he was a weakling. He pushed at me and clawed but I just kept drinking until he collapsed like the other guy. Vampire blood tasted so much better, but it wasn't as filling.
     "Hey newborn! Come over here." I looked around for the source of the voice and saw the vampire on the throne motioning for me to come over. I walked slowly through the crowd towards the head vampire. When I reached him, he took off his hood and I saw a beautiful face, white as snow and very detailed. He was entrancing and I couldn't help but stare.
     "I see you too are drawn into my vampiric looks. You will do great things in the vampire world."
