"Do you really have to do this everyday?" Nick says.

"Of course hon. We couldn't let you get away that easy." May says in an innocent voice.

"May, do you have to bother us today?" I say in an annoyed voice.

"Of course, we can't let this handsome young kid get away." She said with a devilish smile and a drunken slur to her voice.

May is the "leader" or "head" of the quads. They're basically the sluts of the school. Everyday it seems like she is trying to get her hands into another boys' pants. Her relationships never last more than a month and even when she is with them she always has someone on the side. The quads are a group of four girls; May, Stacy, Charlotte, and Jennifer. May basically gets whatever she wants; whether it's boys, homework, alcohol, drugs, or a new designer hand bag. Her family is so pretty much richer than rich. Amber is May's right hand gal. I guess you could say they were best friends but it depends on who you ask. Amber was considered the 2nd prettiest girl in the grade(next to May of course). Charlotte is May's left hand girl. If you didn't see Amber with May(which rarely ever happens)Charlotte is right there. Charlotte isn't the brightest bulb in the shop. When she actually shows up to class she asks the dumbest questions. Last and certainly least is Jennifer. She is basically the hot new girl so she just fit right in with them. Rumor has it that she has been with half of the boys on the basketball team. But that's none of my business.

"Um... we are already late for class, so why don't we just go." Nick says as Charlotte moves her hand to block him from leaving.

"Speaking of class, hey dork where's my homework?" Stacy says looking my way.

"I'm sorry are you talking to me? Because my name is Dianna. Are you looking in a mirror or something?" After I say that I can almost see the steam coming from her ears. I knew what I was doing. I see it as helping my best friend escaped these drunk girls before they become dangerous to him. Unfortunately I might not be as lucky.

"Girls we obviously need to teach this tramp a lesson." May says holding my collar. She is so close I can smell the alcohol in her breath.

"I have a better idea." I say nervously.

"Which is?"

"Nick run!" I say as I get out of her grasp, grab Nick's wrist and we run to class laughing along the way.

By lunch we caught up with the rest of my friends. We are a good fit with each other. Elaine is my best friend after Nick. She's the bookworm. She is super smart and we love watching and talking about the newest episode of whatever is on tv. Fiona is Elaine's twin sister so the three of hangout together and having crazy sleep overs. She's nice and really sweet just don't get on her bad side. Last there's Gavin, he is the most calm out of all of us but he can also be the most crazy; if that makes any sense. Lunch was going so well until she showed up to ruin it.

"Hey babe. Did you miss me?" Bethany says interrupting my conversation with Nick.

Nick and I get along on most things but we can't agree on is each others love life. I absolutely can't stand his girlfriend. She is not good for him. Not to mention she is shallow and only cares about herself. On top of all that she is completely fake. As his best friend I can say these things because they are absolutely true.

"Of course I did cookie." (yes he calls her cookie) She just smiles then sits on his lap and gives him a kiss.

"Dude, get a room I'm trying to eat my lunch." Elaine says pushing her tray away from her.

"Forget it I lost my appetite." I say getting up from the table and Fiona follows after me.

As I'm walking to my next class Bethany catches up to me.

"Hey Danni!" She says with a smile.

"You can't call me that!" I say sternly without making eye contact with her.

"Oh don't be that way. You know we use to be friends once. Even before you met Nick."

"Yeah that was a long time ago."

"Yeah considering that you're my boyfriend's best friend and we use to be friends, I think we should be friends again."

"Stop it." I take a deep breathe look her in the eye and say. "You know good and well why we can't be friends. I kept your secret but the deal was that you stay away from me. So unless you want your secret out I suggest you stay the hell away from me." I said calmly then walked off. I didn't even bother to see her expression.

By the end of the school day I am exausted. I don't know what's up with all these teachers, but it's like after break they decide to give us a truck load of homework. Last time I checked I had a life outside of school, but it's not like they care.

"Hey Danni, can we go over to your house today instead of mine?" Nick says catching up to me as we walked to his car.

"Sure... but my dad's out of town and it'll just be you me and Haden."

"I'm sure we won't have any trouble."

"That's what you think." I mutter to myself.

Haden is my older brother by on each year. We are really close. He has a couple mental problems but we keep it under control most times. So after mom died things got worse he just started to shut everyone out. He took it really hard and just started doing drugs and alcohol. My dad tries his best to keep Haden in check, but Haden finds a way to get the drugs and stuff anyway. I've tried talking to him but he doesn't listen. He gets dangerous when he's drunk and breaks things. I worry about him. I just hope he straightens up with his senior year being a year away.

"How can you not tell your best friend when you're having a party that's just mean and down right-"

"What are you talking about? Oh my word!"
