Pulling out her car keys, Kei angrily grumbled about how her day went. Currently, her trial boyfriend was not taking her seriously. And who the hell called themselves as 'trial boyfriend'? Like what the heck? This wasn't some experiment or trial and error like the one she had on her analytical chemistry class.

And speaking of that....

"Ugh! I forgot to get my book from the locker!" Kei glanced at her cellphone to check the time. It was 4:30 and it's time for her to pick up Teru from work. Teru was the only female childhood friend she had and she treasured her a lot. She was more than a friend and closest to being a sister despite her age. Since then, they've been glued to their hips.

Sighing, Kei did the easy, stressful and infuriating way; she called her boyfriend.

"Yow Kent, are you busy right now? I forgot my book in my locker. Can you please get it?" Kei mustered up her guts and be sweet... Tried to be sweet. She's tired of him arguing with her about everything.

"I'm busy as of now. Why did you forget it in the first place? Isn't your brain big enough to remember that?"

If he could receive an award, it would be the worst boyfriend award. She had had enough of his attitude.

"Fine. Be that way. I'm tired with this stupid relationship we have. I'm calling this trial off, happy? Bye." Kei harshly tapped her phone to end the call. She instead decided to email Teru, informing her of being late for their meet up.

----

Teru peeked out from behind the kitchens to see that the restaurant floor was already empty. Waka-san was probably at his office doing

whatever he did and Mine-chan already left early because of a stomachache. Ikki-san was still changing, maybe, and Teru was free to go home.

Running towards the lockers, Teru threw it open and tossed in her uniform. Kei told her to wait outside because she volunteered to take her shopping, but Teru would rather make-out with Waka-san than go outside in full view of Ikki's fanclub.

"Teru-san, good work today."

Ikki's smooth voice resounded around the empty staff room and she looked up to smile at him. She inwardly cursed her short height because

Ikki was quite tall.

"You too, Ikki-san!" she responded, careful not to make eye contact. His eyes were dangerous and it would be bad if she fell prey to them.

"Are you going home now?"

The handsome male chuckled, "Yes. I would offer to escort you, but you know the situation."

"Yeah, I might get hurt." Teru shrugged before she gave him a mischievous look. "What kind of boyfriend are you, Ikki-san? I feel so neglected!"

"Haha, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you."

"A chocolate parfait and strawberry shortcake," she excitedly pleaded. Teru didn't really care if Ikki didn't take her home as long as she got her free sweets. Besides, as cruel as it seemed, she was just using him with his consent. He didn't mind though and continued to treat her kindly.
