Toma was such a nice person. He was almost too good to be true, with his handsome face, tall stature, caring personality, and impeccable manners. No wonder Kei told her that she was in love with this man almost since birth.

When Kei and Shin left, almost immediately Toma had arrived from the billing office and had proceeded to coddle her when he saw her tear-stained face and depressed demeanor. He had also used that moment to tell her how worried he was and not to do that again.

"Like she'd want to be in a car crash again," Orion had sarcastically said, rolling his eyes.
Another thing noteworthy was that Toma could effortlessly fluster her with one gentle smile. It was unfair, and Teru disliked the fact that he had such power over her. It was ridiculous.

"Ah, I bought you your favorite, Teru!" Toma exclaimed as soon as he stepped inside her hospital room, raising takeout plastics with one hand and a bright expression. "I didn't know if I should buy you pizza or cake, so I decided to just buy you both."

"Wow, thanks." Teru smiled, stretching out her hands as the male placed the food on her lap. "Nice timing. I was pretty hungry."

Toma ruffled her hair and Teru couldn't help but blush. Not for the first time she fervently hoped that she could remember him.

"Oh, you're turning red again~" Orion gave her a teasing smirk. "Calm down, Teru!"

Teru ignored him as she busied herself with opening a takeout container, revealing a slice of mocha cake with a small bar of chocolate on top. As she dug in with the provided fork with no hesitation, Toma made himself comfortable on the plastic chair beside the bed where he spent most of his time when she was unconscious.

"The doctor told me that you need as much rest as possible, so forgive me if I can't visit you as often as possible," he started, running a hand through his blond hair. "also, I kind of missed more days of university than I can manage. I'm sorry."

Teru and Orion stared at him but it was the latter that openly reacted.

"Eh? But who would visit Teru if you won't be here?" panicking, Orion brought his hands to his head. "Shin also has school while Kei also needs rest! Teru has to have as much stimulation as she can! How will she get her memories back if you're gonna leave her alone?!"

"But..." Teru started, clenching her fists as she hid them under the sheets. "Do you really have to go? I..."

The thought of not seeing Toma for days brought an ache to her chest. She didn't want him to go? As of now, he was the only one she had that she could actually cling onto. Orion also brought her encouragement, but he was different from Toma.

The blond sighed, his eyes holding a sad tint to them. "I want to stay but I can't."
She remained silent, understanding his reasons but something inside her was stubborn and didn't want to accept it. Maybe it was her real personality coming through. Shin did say that she was spoiled and sometimes unreasonable. Maybe her body was used to being given what she wanted.
