Fourteenth night:
"Can't sleep?"
❝You know it.❞
She smiled slightly.
"How was your day?"
❝Same crap as always; nothing new.❞
She let out a quiet chuckle.
"Well, I'm guessing you already know what happened with me today."
❝No, not really...what happened...?❞
"Got into a fight..."
❝I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you...❞
"It's okay," she said softly. "It was my fault, anyways."
❝What happened...?❞
"This girl was mocking me today at school and calling me things. I couldn't anymore...I swung a punch at her and it just...happened."
❝You stood up for yourself.❞
"I made myself look like a troubled kid, now."
❝Aren't we all?❞
